I'm it

I've been tagged by my friend Michelle! So, here are 7 random things about me...

1.) Me and my husband were set up on a blind date, and it worked!! My brother in law Adam went to high school and then College with Kyle. I was visiting my sister for the weekend and we went out on a double date. The rest is history!

2.) I had a cat with only 3 legs growing up. Good old Chubby, who is still alive, but now lives with my mom. I'm not really into cats anymore, my kids are enough work for me! We have had Chubby since she was born. She lived in our garage, and one day decided to run out of the garage while my mom was pulling in. We felt a bump and I remember freaking out! We took her to the vet and she ended up having a broken back leg, and had to have it ampuated. My parents weren't about to pay that much money for a cat, so I ended up paying for it with my money. I'm glad she is living a long life!!
3.) David B. Haight was in our first ward after being married. We lived up in the Avenues in Salt Lake City. Whenever he attended our sacrament meeting, he would get up and talk for a few minutes at the end. I'll never forget when it was our turn to speak in sacrament, and having Elder Haight get up after us and comment on our remarks. It was very cool! His wife was such a cute little lady.
4.) My 2 K-9 teeth grew in on the roof of my mouth. When I was 12 I had to have a surgery where they uncovered the teeth, and usually they can pull them down to the right place with braces. Well, mine were upside down and backwards so they had to pull them.

5.) Since my pregnancy with Bethany I have not been able to eat banana's. Sometimes they will look good, so I will take a bite thinking maybe my taste has changed. But no, I always have to spit it out. Maybe one of these days.

6.) We have moved 6 times in the last 3 years. We moved into a house in Utah, then shortly after we got our current job in Albuquerque, so moved to New Mexico. We lived there for a year, then we went back to Utah for Kyle to do his Master degree (which was part of his job), we moved back into our house there, sold it, then moved into University housing. When he was finished with school, we moved back to Albuquerque, we were in an apartment while our house was finished being built, then we moved into our current house. Whew, too much moving for me!! We will see what happens next:)
7.) I hate bugs, and am such a chicken when it comes to taking care of them when they are inside our house. We have a lot of crickets around here, yuck. I usually put a cup over it until Kyle gets home and he takes care of it. A funny thing is Bethany will get some tissue and take care of bugs or step on them herself. One day I had put a cup over a bug, and she brought the cup back to me, saying she had taken care of it. Pretty sad when your 4 year old is braver than you:)

Okay, so there you go. There are seven random things... not too exciting, oh well. Anyway, now I get to tag seven people and the rules.
The 7 people I tag are:

The rules are: post who tagged you and link.
Post 7 random things about yourself.
Pick 7 people to tag and links, plus whoever you tag, you have to write them a comment telling them they've been tagged.
Post the rules. If you've been tagged... have fun!

Pictures of Kids

I took some pictures of the kids last week, down by the river, before it got so cold. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

Grandma's Visit

We did lots of fun stuff this past week with Grandma in town. Since we won't be going to Utah for Christmas we did a "Christmas morning" with her. The kids loved all their fun presents they got!!

Hannah putting on chapstick she got. She did a pretty good job right:)

We went and saw the river of lights at the gardens. The girls were complaining that it was cold, and wanted to go home. Needless to say, all 3 of the kids fell asleep on the way home. And they stayed asleep when we got home, yea!! We had fun though.

We went to Grandma's hotel for breakfast one morning. The kids are wearing the pj's that she made for them for Christmas. Very cute!! They had a good breakfast too, you could make your own waffles!

Bethany wanted me to take a picture of her vacumning. She has not stopped vacumning since she got it. First thing in the morning she is asking to vacumn, she at least has to wait until everyone is awake! She loves it. It is suppose to really pick up stuff, it probably does a little, but I wished it picked up more. Then we would have a really clean house!!

Family picture. You can tell that the kids are really into it:)
We had a good visit with Grandma . We are glad that they came down to see us. We love having visitors. I know the girls had so much fun!! I think they are worn out though, they are super grumpy today!! It may be naptime soon for all of us!!!!

Thanksgiving

We had a really good Thanksgiving. My mom came to spend the holiday with us. We had a little problem with the turkey, and wasn't done until about an hour after we had dinner. We had also got a ham, so we ate that. But it was a little disappointing with the turkey. We concluded that it was not all the way defrosted when we started cooking it, and that resulted in our delayed turkey. That's ok though, dinner was still really good!

We went swimming after dinner at my mom's hotel. The water wasn't heated, so it was pretty cold, we didn't last long. Although, daddy and Bethany couldn't get enough. Bethany is quite the swimmer these days, she loves it!

Hannah trying to get warm, and waiting for daddy and Bethany to be done.

It snowed Thursday night, and we woke up to just a dusting of snow in the morning. Hannah went outside by herself, and was eating the little bit of snow we had.

Playing and Falling

I thought this video was pretty cute. Rylan and Hannah were having so much fun playing together. Rylan loves it when his sisters play with him. I am so glad that they all get along so well. I still can't believe how much Rylan can get around now, I really have to watch him. He had quite a fall at the end, but he's a tough boy! Hannah was being our little ballerina!

Slumber Party!!!

This weekend the girls had a slumber party with their good friends, Emma, Megan and Paige. Beth had watched my girls overnight on my birthday, so we were doing a swap, and it was our turn. The girls all had a lot of fun playing together. I think Emma and Megan's favorite part was just going up and down our stairs. If they were upstairs, they would want to go downstairs, and vice versa. Kind of cute.
A litle histroy, Beth and I met when we moved to Albuquerque the 1st time in 2004. She was the first good friend that I made after our move. I am so thankful for her, she made the transition so much easier on me. It was hard for me to move away from our families and everything that was familiar to us, although it has proved to be good for us and I know this is where were suppose to be. It was so good to have a friend to talk to and to do things with, and for my girls to have friends to play with, since we aren't close to any cousins. We have continued to stay close with our move's, and now we are across town from eachother, but we still manage to meet up so we can talk and the girls can play!
Megan, Emma, Bethany and Hannah all ready for bed.

Emma and Hannah drawing on our wall.

All the girls swinging on the swingset.

Decorating a halloween gingerbread house. I had got it on clearance for 2 bucks, and thought they would have fun with it.

Dancing together.

We had them make their own pizza's for dinner. They had so much fun picking out what toppings they wanted. Megan wanted everything on hers!!

Had to throw in some cute pictures of Rylan, so he isen't left out. This was kind of a flashback for Kyle, since he has 5 older sisters. And this weekend we had 5 girls and little Rylan!

Gymnastics!

We went to an open gym at a gymnastics place on Friday. The girls had so much fun!! Bethany keeps asking when we can go back.

Bethany swinging on the rings.

Hannah hanging from one of the many bars to swing from.

The had a huge rope swing, that they couldn't get enough of.

A super long trampolin. At the end you could jump into this big pit with the blue foam in it. Bethany really like getting into the pit, but Hannah was a little scared of it. Bethany calls the blue foam ice cubes.

Getting ready to jump on the trampolin in the floor.

Jumping on one of the trampolins.

Hannah walking on the low balance beam. They had several different ones at different heights.

Hannah, Bethany, Megan, Emma and Paige, waiting to go on the rope swing. They would get on the swing from up here and then swing down. They loved it!!

Our week

Bethany was being silly pretending to be stuck in the corner, but she really did get stuck! I had to take a picture before I helped her out:) Such a nice mom! She does have clothes on, they are shorts so you can't see them.

We'll I finally got around to updating our blog. This last week has been pretty busy. It was my turn to teach Joyschool, I had a craft bizaar Friday night and all day Saturday, so on top of the time at the bizaar, I spent lots of time preparing and getting ready. It was a lot of work, but it was a nice break from the girls. And I love it when I have alone time with Rylan! Today it is my turn to teach sharing time in primary, and I am also the only member of the primary presidency that is going to be at church. So it should be fun:) Also, Hannah was sick Thursday night and Friday. Sick kids are never fun!! So anyways, this is why I am just now getting caught up on the blog. I was looking through pictures of this last week, and noticed I had a lot videos I had taken, so sorry there are so many. It is so fun to post the videos because it shows the kids personalities so much more than the pictures!

Rylan in his crib

We finally got around to lowering Rylan's crib. We have needed to for a couple weeks, but just haven't gotten around to it. I was reading a friend's blog who has a baby boy a day older than Rylan, and he had fallen out of his crib. So that night we got it lowered for him. He is so happy when he is on his feet!!

We love brother!!

The girls really do love their brother so much! They are great little helpers with him. They are so good at making him laugh!!

Hannah being wild and silly!

Hannah can be a little ball of energy sometimes. She was having fun running around, making up her own song and just being silly. Sorry the lighting is so bad on this one, the sun was coming in through the window.

Bethany singing

Bethany singing I am a Child of God. Hannah was going to sing with her, but she decided to go play instead. Bethany really enjoys learning all of her primary songs. She learned all the songs for the primary program this year and passed them all off! We were very proud of her. The primary chorister gave her a big bag of gummy worms for her reward She was in heaven!! Bethany kept getting distracted by Hannah while she was singing the song.

Swimming!

The girls love to swim in our big bathtub. I was going to just give them a bath in it, but they insisted on wearing their swimsuits. They had fun playing!!

Halloween

Hannah the bunny and Bethany the princess. This year the girls got to pick what they wanted to be for halloween out of the costumes and dress up stuff that we already have. I figure we should get as much use out of them before they outgrown them. Bethany's princess dress is from her cousin Drew. He bought it for her for her birthday with his own money! What a nice cousin.

A bunny, giraffe and princess.

At our ward trunk or treat.

A tired boy who didn't want to smile or look at the camera.

The girls had so much fun on Halloween this year. They thought it was so fun to go trick or treating and to get so much candy. It is fun to watch them have a good time. We took them to the ward trunk or treat and then daddy took them trick or treating up and down our street. We were going to let them go to some more houses, but they said they were cold and ready to be done. Rylan could of cared less about it all, which is to be expected, especially since he dosen't get to eat the candy!
On Tuesday we had a halloween party at Joyschool. I got to teach it, we had a lot of fun. At the end we did a parade, so the kids all dressed up in their costumes. Bethany wanted to be the bunny that day, and Hannah was the butterfly that she was last year. I'm glad that they shared the bunny costume, since they both wanted to wear it this year. They worked it out all by themselves. I was very proud of them!
