pack meeting

Rylan worked really hard and earned his wolf badge! He had so much fun working on the requirements! It was also excited to be done, it's a lot of work!
He worked extra hard and earned his required belt loops and also completed all of his electives except one! Way to go bud!

Rylan is so lucky to have some awesome cub scout leaders! They always make everything so fun! I am lucky enough to get to be one of the webelos leaders, and I get to work with these amazing ladies. We have a lot of fun!
The kids got to build a car together and then Rylan was the car and he got to do some races with pit stops.
They had fun working together. Bethany was at YW's so she missed out on all the fun! Dallen especially loves coming to pack meeting with Rylan. He looks forward to the 4th Tuesday of the month!

Ready for his race!
At the first pit stop we had to change his tires! We had to take his shoes off and put them back on and tie them. We had to all work together!

His second pit stop was his gas stop. He had to eat a saltine cracker and then drink some water. This was the hardest station for the boys. Apparently getting a saltine cracker down your throat fast, is hard!

Last pit stop we had to clean his windshield. We sprayed water on his glasses and had to wipe it off.
So fun!
Rylan really loves cub scouts and I'm so glad!

dentist

This poor kid has a crazy mouth right now! His teeth are all over the place. He has a overcrowded problem. His permanent teeth that are coming in are about twice the size of his baby teeth that came out. So he had to get his four canines pulled to make room for his other teeth that are coming in and hoping to get the permanent teeth where they are suppose to be. This was his first experience with laughing gas. He had his front top tooth pulled by the dentist, because his permanent tooth was pushed way up and laying flat. We needed the baby tooth out to see if we could get the permanent one to come in. It did, after a year! Hooray! But he didn't do laughing gas during that ordeal. But having 4 teeth pulled at the same time and being numbed up that much we decided this was a good option!
He did awesome! He got to watch tv also, which really helps them not realize everything that is going on! After a little bit with the laughing gas, he was telling me he felt like he was flying and really high in the air. He also couldn't feel his body so much. It's fun hearing their stories!
He did awesome during the procedure. Afterwards though he was really loopy! He rested in the chair watching his show, while they finished up on Dallen. Then when it was time to go he couldn't walk straight and I had to hold onto him so he wouldn't fall over. He rested on the ride home and when we got home he just laid on the couch! I was getting a little worried about him. The other kids usually bounce back a little better. Even when I sent him to bed he was still kind of out of it, and I was wondering if I was going to be able to send him to school the next day.
Sure enough by the next morning he was back to his usual self, thank goodness!
I think it effected him so much because he had the laughing gas for a longer period. With having 4 teeth pulled, the numbing process and the pulling process was at least a 1.5 hours.

Dallen had a small cavity he needed to get filled. They were able to do it with just the laughing gas and they didn't have to numb him up at all, which was nice. He was on the laughing gas for a shorter time and did fine when they were done.
This poor kid was numb all night!! He was super hungry, and was getting a little frustrated that he couldn't eat. We tried some jello and he got some down, but most of it feel back out! I was trying to help him, but we both kept laughing. You can tell that he is still all numbed up!
We were both glad the next day that it was all over with! He was quite the trooper!!

sleigh ride

We had so much fun on our sleigh ride. A guy that works for Ky who lives up in Morgan has some draft horses. He offered to let our family come up and go for a sleigh ride. We all loved it!

Bryleigh wearing her hat she made at preschool!

When we got to where the cows were the kids got to throw off some hay for them. The cows started to follow us!
It was kind of cold, so we were ready to get warmed up. We had lunch at a local restaurant where the boys got some fried chicken. They were happy!

The kids in their Christmas outfits. Cute kids!

 The girls!
 The boys!

logan and more christmas

Our last adventure over Christmas break was a day trip up to Logan. We went to firehouse pizza, mine and Ky's favorite pizza place. We explored the town and some surrounding towns. It was nice to get out and explore a little.
We got Grandpa's Mike's christmas presents in the mail, and had fun having our second Christmas!
She is so funny with her expressions!
 Cute boy!

 Seahawks! Yay!

We love the seahawks around here! Thanks Grandpa!

girl camps {1st year}

My baby girl was so super excited to get to go to girls camp this last summer! We weren't sure if she was going to go or not because she has an August birthday, but she made the cut! She turned 12 the week after camp. I was so excited but nervous for her to go! It is hard to let your kids grow up and be more independent. It was also the first time that she was staying overnight with people other than family or family friends, and it was for 3 nights, and I wasn't able to call and talk to her or check on her! I'm used to talking with her everyday! I was also nervous because she wasn't officially in YW's yet, and I worried about her feeling comfortable and fitting in ok. She was able to attend a few activities before camp which I think helped a lot. She also had playdates with some of the girls. She did awesome!

They went to a camp that had cabins. Bethany shared a bunk with her friend Kaylee. Bethany is a very organized and clean person and she said she had the cleanest area in the cabin. I think it kind of drove her crazy that the other girls didn't keep their area clean!
I really should let Bethany write this post, since I wasn't there!
There were so many deer there! They were used to people so they were able to get super close to them!

There was a lake there. They usually go canoeing, but I think their ward might of missed that day of camp.

They did a service project where they split and stacked wood. It was some hard work!

Her favorite things was the challenge course. I don't remember everything the course had, but she loved this swing, thing!
She is the cutest beehive!!

A lot of the girls were scared to try this. Not Bethany, she was so excited! She is a little daredevil! All of our trips to theme parks must be a good thing!

 The 3 mile hike!
Bethany had so much fun at camp! She was able to make so many friends! She was able to be comfortable and be herself! She was excited to tell us about all of her adventures and show us all the cool things she got at camp. She was also very tired. She took a shower and slept for the afternoon! I was so glad that she had a good time and that she came home safely!
