We came up with this crazy idea, of trying to sell our home! It was very sudden and most of the time we were wondering what we had gotten ourselves into! We listed our house on March 15, 2016, and 2 weeks later had it under contract on March 29th. In that 2 week span we had 30 showings! Which was exciting, depressing and very inconvenient! So many emotions go along with selling your house, and when people keep coming to look at it and point out what they don't like about it, it's just hard!
The kids were all really excited the 1st day! When I picked them up from school, and said we had some showing tonight, they were excited for the adventure! We had 3 showings the first night. We ended up running some errands and getting dinner at sams club.
The next day, they were so bugged! They were not ready to be kicked out of the house again. I was surprised that the excitement only lasted one day! But it did, and they were very upset when we had showings! Another night we picked up personal pizza's for the kids {they had free coupons}, and Ky and I got subway. We went to the park to eat. It was absolutely freezing! We were trying to be tough, but we were all back in the car before we finished eating!
Another night we managed to get dinner before we got kicked out. We went to McDonald's for ice cream and for the kids to play. Since it was too cold outside!
We hardly ever go to Mcdonalds, so the younger kids were excited to get to explore the play area. It was actually pretty cool!
Another day we went to the library, and then walked the trail behind it! We had fun exploring, but again it was pretty cold outside!
We liked the showings that were during the day. It was easier for me and Bryleigh to find something to do, than for the whole family, especially at dinner time. One of the days, some people show up to look at the house and there was no appointment. I was in the middle of exercising. After they arrive and are in the driveway, I get a call from our brother in law and agent Dave. He's saying that some people want to come see the house right now. And I'm like, Ya, they are outside my house. I was a little panicky. It's not a good feeling when your not ready for people to come to your house, and they have access to get in your house. I told Dave to tell them to give me 10 minutes, and I would get out. So they waited in my drive way for me to leave. I was very frazzled and did not like it at all!
I decided to go spy on Kyle who was being a watchdog at the boys school for the day. It was so cute to see them at recess together, playing basketball. Rylan is standing right next to Kyle.

Another hard showing was we were at pack meeting. It was 6:30 at night, and had no appointments set up. We figured we were good for the night. We were leaving in a couple days for our spring break vacation so I started to have the kids pack. My bed was covered in the kids clothing that I was going to put in the suitcases when we got home that night. The suitcases were out and other things that we didn't do our usually clean up before we left. Plus Ella was at the house still. She got to have lots of car rides, as we didn't want her to be home when people came to walk through the house. We get a call right before pack meeting started, with someone wanting to come see the house. Again, another full on panic, knowing the house was not show ready at the moment. I needed to stay, so Kyle and the girls ran home and got the house ready. We went to head home at 8:30, and the people were still at our house! We were getting a little frustrated because we needed to get our kids in bed. We ended up driving around and sitting in our car until about 9:00, when they finally left! It was a frustrating night. But these were the people that bought our house! Kind of funny! But am glad it all worked out!!

We left for our spring break vacation to Lake Chelan Washington that Sunday. We were so ready to be out of the house, we all needed a break! The house was still for sale at this time and we were getting very frustrated! But at least the house was there and ready for showings and we weren't going to be kicked out at last minute notice! We heard that someone might be putting in an offer that Saturday before we left, but were still waiting for it when we left town. Things were quite that Sunday and Monday, and again got frustrated that we weren't home, but were not having showings! On Monday we finally got the offer we had been told we were receiving. {We were very doubtful that we would get an offer, and thought the agent was making it up!}We were so excited to have an offer, and it was a full price offer! Amazing! We countered back with some minor detail, and were waiting for them to get back to us. The next day the 29th, we had 6 showings and 3 of them also put offer in. So we now had 4 offers for the house. The first one was a full price offer, with little concessions. So these other 3 offers were more than our asking price, Our agent told them we have an offer in already, and to put forth their best offers. It was amazing to have options! We ended up cancel our counter offer with our first offer {we were a little mean}. Anyways after all the best offers were put in, including a new offer from our 1st people. The best offer still stood with the 1st people, or at least very close. So they are still the ones that got the house, which we were glad of. We felt a little bad! We ended up getting more than our asking price. All in all it was worth it and at least it was all over in 2 weeks! We were able to go back home from our very relaxing vacation, to a house under contract and no more showings!!
In another post I will have to explain why we decided to sell our house in the first place, and the crazy adventure that entailed! It was a crazy couple of months for sure!!
