rylan's 9th party

Rylan had his birthday party during all the house for sale craziness! Thank goodness he likes to go places for his parties and not stay home. He wanted to go swimming with a couple friends. He invited his friends Boston, Jon, Ben and Dallen.  I told him he could invite more, but that was all he wanted. Nice and simple!
He actual birthday was during spring break and we were in Washington. So we gave him a few presents early, especially this big one!

 Finally, his own bean bag!
A fishing game, that he loves! He loves to fish!

We had his friends over for cupcakes and presents, and then they headed over to surf n swim to go swimming!

He had been wanting a basketball!

 Cute boy and his cupcakes!

pack meeting {bear}

Rylan got welcomed into the bear den at pack meeting. He was excited to be a bear!

For the activity the boys got a kit of recyclable products. They got to make something out of them. Rylan loved this! He is the boy at our house who is consistently pulling thing out of the garbage or scouting things out to make something out of. He is very creative and loves making things. The kids got to work all together and made a robot!

broken arm

Bethany got her first broken bone! She was at softball practice, catching pop flies. She was running backwards, stepped in a pot hole and fell on her arm. It hurt her really bad and went and sat down for a little bit. But she finished out her practice and even took her turn batting. I'm not sure how she held her bat. She was doing ok, but during the night she was up saying it was hurting her more. The next morning, it was just as bad and she kept holding her arm and wouldn't use it. We decided to get her into the doctor to get it checked out. Sure enough it was a hairline fracture, the most common break with kids.
Getting her x-ray done. This is how she would hold her arm, and how I knew that something was wrong with it.

She wore a brace for a couple days for the swelling to go down. Then she got to get a cast. So not fun! Holding her arm!

She got purple of course! It was snowing the day we went to get the cast, you can see it in her hair. She had to take a break from softball for 6 weeks. She was pretty bummed about that! She also was doing track at school. She was wanting to do the shot put and javelin. She got through the first few weeks of all the running, waiting for the time to work on her events. With her broken arm, the doctor said she could still do those event's, since it's her left hand and she would throw with her right arm. But the coach's would not let her do them. She was so bummed and discouraged. Maybe she will try again this next year!

house for sale

We came up with this crazy idea, of trying to sell our home! It was very sudden and most of the time we were wondering what we had gotten ourselves into! We listed our house on March 15, 2016, and 2 weeks later had it under contract on March 29th. In that 2 week span we had 30 showings! Which was exciting, depressing and very inconvenient! So many emotions go along with selling your house, and when people keep coming to look at it and point out what they don't like about it, it's just hard!

The kids were all really excited the 1st day! When I picked them up from school, and said we had some showing tonight, they were excited for the adventure! We had 3 showings the first night. We ended up running some errands and getting dinner at sams club.

The next day, they were so bugged! They were not ready to be kicked out of the house again. I was surprised that the excitement only lasted one day! But it did, and they were very upset when we had showings! Another night we picked up personal pizza's for the kids {they had free coupons}, and Ky and I got subway. We went to the park to eat. It was absolutely freezing! We were trying to be tough, but we were all back in the car before we finished eating!

Another night we managed to get dinner before we got kicked out. We went to McDonald's for ice cream and for the kids to play. Since it was too cold outside!

We hardly ever go to Mcdonalds, so the younger kids were excited to get to explore the play area. It was actually pretty cool!
Another day we went to the library, and then walked the trail behind it! We had fun exploring, but again it was pretty cold outside!

We liked the showings that were during the day. It was easier for me and Bryleigh to find something to do, than for the whole family, especially at dinner time. One of the days, some people show up to look at the house and there was no appointment. I was in the middle of exercising. After they arrive and are in the driveway, I get a call from our brother in law and agent Dave. He's saying that some people want to come see the house right now. And I'm like, Ya, they are outside my house. I was a little panicky. It's not a good feeling when your not ready for people to come to your house, and they have access to get in your house. I told Dave to tell them to give me 10 minutes, and I would get out. So they waited in my drive way for me to leave. I was very frazzled and did not like it at all!
I decided to go spy on Kyle who was being a watchdog at the boys school for the day. It was so cute to see them at recess together, playing basketball. Rylan is standing right next to Kyle.
Another hard showing was we were at pack meeting. It was 6:30 at night, and had no appointments set up. We figured we were good for the night. We were leaving in a couple days for our spring break vacation so I started to have the kids pack. My bed was covered in the kids clothing that I was going to put in the suitcases when we got home that night. The suitcases were out and other things that we didn't do our usually clean up before we left. Plus Ella was at the house still. She got to have lots of car rides, as we didn't want her to be home when people came to walk through the house. We get a call right before pack meeting started, with someone wanting to come see the house. Again, another full on panic, knowing the house was not show ready at the moment. I needed to stay, so Kyle and the girls ran home and got the house ready.  We went to head home at 8:30, and the people were still at our house! We were getting a little frustrated because we needed to get our kids in bed. We ended up driving around and sitting in our car until about 9:00, when they finally left! It was a frustrating night. But these were the people that bought our house! Kind of funny! But am glad it all worked out!!

We left for our spring break vacation to Lake Chelan Washington that Sunday. We were so ready to be out of the house, we all needed a break! The house was still for sale at this time and we were getting very frustrated! But at least the house was there and ready for showings and we weren't going to be kicked out at last minute notice! We heard that someone might be putting in an offer that Saturday before we left, but were still waiting for it when we left town. Things were quite that Sunday and Monday, and again got frustrated that we weren't home, but were not having showings! On Monday we finally got the offer we had been told we were receiving. {We were very doubtful that we would get an offer, and thought the agent was making it up!}We were so excited to have an offer, and it was a full price offer! Amazing! We countered back with some minor detail, and were waiting for them to get back to us. The next day the 29th, we had 6 showings and 3 of them also put offer in. So we now had 4 offers for the house. The first one was a full price offer, with little concessions. So these other 3 offers were more than our asking price, Our agent told them we have an offer in already, and to put forth their best offers. It was amazing to have options! We ended up cancel our counter offer with our first offer {we were a little mean}.  Anyways after all the best offers were put in, including a new offer from our 1st people. The best offer still stood with the 1st people, or at least very close. So they are still the ones that got the house, which we were glad of. We felt a little bad! We ended up getting more than our asking price. All in all it was worth it and at least it was all over in 2 weeks! We were able to go back home from our very relaxing vacation, to a house under contract and no more showings!!
In another post I will have to explain why we decided to sell our house in the first place, and the crazy adventure that entailed! It was a crazy couple of months for sure!!

kindergarten roundup

Bryleigh was so excited for Kindergarten roundup! She is super excited for kindergarten and wan't wait. She got to go meet some of the teachers and do some activities in the classrooms, while the parent sat through a meeting. I'm sure she had way more fun than I did!
This girl also has fun going on lunch dates with mommy and daddy! One of our favorite places was firehouse pizza. Super yummy. We were so sad when they closed.

preschool fieldtrip

Bryleigh has loved going to preschool. Each month she gets to go on a field trip.
This one was at the dentist office.
More of the dentist office.
The one on the right, is at krispy kremes.

They got to go to J & J nursery and came home with a plant!
She loves having me go on the field trips with her. I went to the fire department and a field trip to Smiths. We had a good time!

braces round 2

In March, Bethany got to get her 2nd and final set of braces. She was not excited this time around. She was dreading it. She really enjoyed the time she had them off. Her teeth still look so awesome. This second set is to help with her overbite, which still needs a lot of work.

Her overbite. She got the braces on, and in a couple months she will get a device called a herpst. Its a medal device that holds her bottom jaw forward to correct the overbite. She is really not looking forward to that! One step a a time.
She got to go to lunch afterwards, before her teeth got too sore!
