date{s} night

Bethany and Hannah got to go spend a fun night with Da, so the other three got a fun night with mommy and daddy.  We went to dinner, played at the castle park and went on a little hike, and then went to our neighborhood party.  They had jump houses and cotton candy.  They had fun.

The girls got spoiled and went to Mary Poppins at the Hale Theater.  They got to do some extra chores to earn some of the money for their ticket. They loved it! {Ky and I saw it the month before, and it was excellent!}

Then they got to stay the night at Da's house.  They love having a night away with her.  Lots of fun!!

My mom and I on our date!  During the summer I needed one night a week to go out or do something by myself.  It was a hard summer and I just needed a break from the kids for my sanity.  Most night I just ran some errands or would treat myself to dinner and just enjoy some alone time.  Sometimes I liked grown up company!  We ate dinner at pei wei, did a little shopping and got frozen yogurt after. It was a nice night, thanks for joining me!

The kids were having fun dressing each other up.  We sure got some good laughs.

Ky and I also had a fun date.  For Christmas we got tickets for the Hale theater, and we went and saw Mary Poppins.  It was amazing and we both loved it!

Hannah got a wart on her hand, and after putting medicine on it for awhile it went away.  Then a little later it came back, and the medicine wasn't doing anything.  So we took her in to get it frozen off.  But now a days they have a new medicine that they can put on it, that is similar to the over the counter stuff but stronger that does the same thing as freezing it off.  So that is what Hannah choose.  It made it blister up really big and then fell off.  It took care of it and it was much less painful.

We brought the rain back with us from Washington.  I love the rain and cloudy days.  It was a perfect end to a warm summer!

Rylan noticed when we got to the store that he forgot to grab shoes.  So he got to ride in the cart with his socks!  He is also wiggling his loose tooth, his favorite past time.

Another trip to lagoon.  We really spent a lot of our summer here.  This is my favorite part of the park.  We always come here first.  We head over to bombora and then usually dinosaur drop.  But I love this area with the trees.  It reminds me a little of Disneyland, which is why I think I like it so much!!

It was a special day at lagoon because Da came and joined us.  The kids were super excited to have her there with us.  I think this was Da's favorite ride

We got her on bombora, but she wasn't a fan.

braces

The day finally came for Bethany to get braces.  She was nervous and excited.  Nervous because she didn't want her teeth to hurt, but excited to get her teeth fixed so she can close to mouth right. She was so brave and did awesome!  

She choose purple and green for her rubber bands.  Purple because it is her favorite color and green for her birthstone, since she is going to have them on for her birthday!

Afterwards we took Bethany to lunch before her teeth started hurting and she would have a hard time eating. She was happy to have a lunch date with mommy and daddy by herself! That doesn't happen often!

After Bethany's consultation, she got to get 4 teeth pulled before we could get the braces on.  Another brave day for miss B.  She did awesome! The dentist was also very proud of her and said she handled it better than some adults do.  Having 4 pulled at the same time is tough. 

I've been taking pictures every time she gets her bands tightened to mark her progress.  It is amazing how fast the teeth can move, and how much better then look already after 6 weeks!

The first step was to pull her side teeth up to make them even.

After 6 weeks.

Her teeth are now even.  Step 2 is to pull those front 4 teeth together, and to get rid of the spaces.  She has a special rubber band that is all connected that does that.  On this visit she wanted to get seahawk colors, blue and green.  Since her rubber band is all connected she could only pick one color.  She first picked blue, but then switched to green, since blue is also a broncos color, and she is anti broncos.  She is too cute!

She goes back in a week and I will post more updates!

headed home

On our way home we went home through Portland so we could stop at my Aunt and Uncle's house to visit and to see their lavender farm.  It is such a cute little farm. 

We got to cut us some lavender to take home with us. 

My cousin Cami and Lauralee were also there visiting, so we got to see them too!

Then we started the real long drive home. The kids are all such troopers!!
