p280 week 6

Dallen picked out his pajama's the other night. Of course he picked out his toy story ones, which are his favorite, but he also brought his woody toy with him. Did I mention he loves toy story! It will be fun to see how excited he will be at Disneyland next month! That should be fun!

The girls valentine day hairdo!

Now that the weather has finally warmed up I took the boys on a walk. It was fun for us all to get out and get some fresh air. Ry got a little upset about all the garbage on the sidewalks. It bothers me just as much. It really is too bad!

The girls have been taking roller skating lesson the past month. They have had so much fun and have learned so much! Bethany loves that she can roller skate faster than she can run.

Ry finally got to go on his date that he has been waiting for. We went to the gardens to look at the model trains, and then we rode the big train over to the zoo. He loved it! We ended our date with some ice cream!

p280 week 5

Ry got a new clock for his room. It lights up and turns green when he can come out of his room in the morning. He has been the worse with getting up early. So far the clock seems to be helping, and he gets very excited when he wakes up and it is already green.

The girls got to go back to school after a week off, plus they got to go all day from 8 to 3, for three days to make up their snow days. They were really excited about it, but it sure wore them out. It was not worth the grumpiness that came with it. We are happy it was only for a few days and that the snow days are made up and over with!

This picture is blurry and bugs me...but oh well. Ry started up a tumbling class, that we have done on and off since Bethany was three. It is so fun and he looks forward to "his class" every week. Also, he wore his hat outside of the house!! He wears it all the time at home along with his slippers, but won't ever wear it out of the house afraid it may get dirty or lost.

This week is turning out to be all about Ry! Here is his new favorite kind of sandwich. Just ketchup and mustard! This came about because he was upset while eating a hot dog on a bun that the bun broke. So then he just wanted the ketchup and mustard on bread. I guess this way the bread won't break! It kind of grosses me out!

This little dude LOVES bathtime! He will run to the bath when it is bathtime and will throw a horrible fit when it is time to get out. And yes Dallen we do get it, you just can't stay in there all day!

p280 week 4

At the girls school they do sophie dictations, where they practice spelling and punctuation. They do a pretest, so you can see what you want to practice, and then a post test a week later where they want to see improvement, not necessarily it all correct. Well Hannah got her first 100% on her sophie test!! We were all so excited for her. Especially Bethany who gave her the biggest hug and told her that she was the best speller in the whole world! That was so fun to see. Also, most kindergartners just have to do the first sentence, but Hannah gets to do the whole paragraph, cause she's cool like that!!

Snow day, or snow week! The kids were excited to have snow again and get to play in it. Too bad it was so cold that they all lasted maybe 5 minutes. Plus it was too powdery to build a snowman, or to even make snowballs.

Bethany finally lost her other top front tooth. She came into my room at 7:00 in the morning wanting me to pull it out. I told her no way, I would later. If she wanted it out now, that she needed to go do it herself. She went and wiggled and twisted until it came out! I was so happy that I didn't have to do it! And she was so excited that she got it out by herself.

We had freezing temperatures all week long. It was so cold. The kids thought it was cool that we had icicles on our house. Maybe the first time ever?? I'm glad it only lasted a week and it has warmed back up.

Guess who's having a rapunzel party?? She is so excited. I've planned early this year knowing my energy is going to dissappear. Now I need to get working on Ry's party.

girls only weekend

I got to spend last weekend with my mom and sister in California. I met up with my mom in Phoenix where our layover's were, and then we flew into California together where my sister picked us up. We spent the first day shopping, eating at a yummy fish restaurant, and exploring downtown Hollywood, where our hotel was. It was fun to just go, go, go and not have to worry about any kids. Amazing the difference!
The next day we went to Universal Studios, where it rained on us all day. But it was still fun. Again it was just so nice to only have to worry about myself and not 4 little ones. This was a much needed break for me. And a good opportunity for Ky to have all four kids for a few days by himself, so he knows how it is when he goes out of town!

My mom and I flew home on Monday morning. Her flight was suppose to leave at 10, and was delayed until 11:30. Mine left at 11:25, and we both had layover's in Phoenix again, so she was able to get on my plane. We had tried to switch flight two time before, so we could travel together longer, but no one would do it without having us pay a full fair. But once her plane was delayed, it was a different story. It was nice to have more time together. When my plane got to Albuquerque they weren't able to land because it was too windy. So they took us all the way to El Paso to fill the plane up with gas. There we got to sit on the plane for an hour waiting for an updated weather forecast, and then finally flew us back to Albuquerque. We landed three hours late, but better late then never! As nice as the break was, it was so nice to get home and to be with my awesome hubby and kids! I did miss them, which is a good thing right!!!

p280 week 3

Bethany got to go to her first fireside ever!! It was a baptism fireside, since she turns 8 this year. She is so excited to get baptised and is frustrated that she has to wait soooo long. It was nice to get some time with her by myself.

Home school time at our house! This is the best it can get!! It is always so much easier when the boys will sit down and do something quite while I work with the girls. The opposite is the boys running around crazy creating distraction after distraction. I really enjoy working with the girls and being a part of their learning!

I love that the kids can go and play outside during the middle of January. They all refused to wear a jacket because "it felt like summer outside." One day they all came into the house and switched into flip flops. It really isn't that warm! But it's good for everyone to get some fresh air.

We had another sneak peek at our little baby. She is still a she, and everything looked perfect! I am getting more and more anxious to get to meet her! Only about another 100 days, or you can just say forever! ha ha

After a long week with Ky out of town, I got to escape to California for a girls weekend with my mom and sister. We had so much fun!! This is us exploring downtown Hollywood, where our hotel was. Kind of fun, kind of scary!
