Washington

We had a wonderful trip to Washington over president's day weekend. We were trying to decide if we were going to make it up there to visit before the baby came and we decided to hold off until the fall. A couple days after that Southwest was having a 50% off airfare to Seattle. We couldn't pass that up, so we bought tickets. I always love flying into Seattle and seeing downtown, the water and the trees. I get so excited and happy to be "home." I always forget how much I really do miss living up there until we visit. I love the water all around, the trees and all the memories that go with it. We had such a great time visiting with my dad and my sister's family!

We started our trip by going to Seattle. We rode the ferry over, which the kids love. We walked along the waterfront, and went to Iver's for lunch. That is a must hit whenever we are in town. Then we took the kids to the children museum. They have so many fun things for the kids there, plus they got to enjoy it with their cousins and Grandpa!
On the way out of town we went and saw the troll under the bridge. The next day we went to point no point beach. We wanted to make it to the Ocean, but it was still pretty cold to do much and we were laking the time. But we all enjoyed the beach. The kids loved collecting shells, and I had fun taking pictures!

On Sunday we went to church with my dad. The girls love primary, especially when they get to visit other primaries. So they wanted to stay for all the meetings. Usually when we are on vacation we just go to sacrament meeting. So I guess our girl's will help us not to do that anymore! Plus it was kind of fun to actually go to relicity.

While we were getting ready for church Bethany was saying, "Maybe they will sing the hello song to us, but say hola hola." Ky was like why would they do that?? He hasn't been in primary much. And sure enough that is exactly what they sang to them, kind of funny. My nephew Jerrod also stayed at went to primary so him and Hannah got to go to sunbeams together. They had a lot of fun together!

After church we went to my grandma's house for dinner. It is always so nice to visit with them.
On Monday before we went to the airport we stopped by my grandma's again to visit a little more. She made cookies with the kids. They loved it!
Then we met up with my dad at the rainforest cafe for lunch. The kids loved all the animals!

We had a really good visit and are so glad that we were able to make it up. Thanks dad for letting us crowd your house and for all you did to make our trip fun. We sure wish we could see you more often!!
