snoqualmie falls and visits

Sunday after church we went to Snoqualmie Falls.  It was amazing! It was crazy busy but was worth the hassle.

We didn't have Bryleigh's jacket so she borrowed mine.

The falls from the upper view. We started hiking down to the lower falls, but decided that we weren't prepared to hike that far.  Maybe next time.

We had to check out the candy and ice cream shop.

Across the street from the ice cream shop was the train station, and Thomas was visiting.  It brought back memories.  We rode Thomas twice in Durango Colorado, when the boys were little.

We got to visit my cousin Lauralee that night for dinner. It was so fun to visit with her and her family!  The last time we saw eachother was 10 years ago, when Bethany and her son Luke were babies. 

On Monday we met up with my friend Janene. We meet up at a park in Port Orchard and had such a fun visit with her! 

Later that day we stopped and visited my grandma and grandpa.  They are so cute and we enjoyed spending time with them. 

Sleeping and our 5 kids is always a challenge when we are away from home. We had to keep Bryleigh up with us until the other ones were asleep. It was always fun to see how she was sleeping when we went to bed.  She was all over the place!

sequim and fort warden

Saturday, Grandpa had the whole day off so we headed off to Sequim to go pick berries.  It was so much fun! We picked boysenberries and then some raspberries. The kids were all great helpers and really enjoyed it.

Dallen and Bryleighs famous lines were, "is this one ripe?" We had to teach them which ones were ripe and ready to pick.

We had fun eating some on the way too. 

We saw some deer eating their share too.

The kids were such a mess when we were done! But they had fun.

After picking berries we headed to Port Townsend to go explore fort warden.  We stopped in down town Port Townsend to get some ice cream. I fell in love with the old town, and will try to visit each time we are up there.

On the way to the forts we passed some more deer.  One in the front and some more laying down in the back.  This one was so close to the road and was not scared at all. 

At fort warden we first explored the lighthouse and climbed around on these rocks.

Then we made it up to the fort by the water and had fun exploring it. We had fun running around with our flashlights and trying to scare eachother.

My dad was trying to get this door opened and he couldn't figure it out.  Rylan played with it for a minute and got it opened up.  Smart kid.

Love my family and love my washington! 

We hiked up the hill to the other forts and explored them a little. We hiked up another hill and came to this fort.  There was a tour guide there giving tours of this fort.  It was neat to find more details out about the history of the fort. 

It was a fun filled day!

We were so excited for our trip to Washington to go visit grandpa!  We stopped in Boise for a break and explored the anniversary there.  We all enjoy a good tour.

Our favorite was sleeping beauty castle. The barn was pretty impressive too. And the fun Egypt guy.

The next day, Friday, after resting a bit and going on a family run, we headed down to the silverdale waterfront for lunch. We explored the beach and the docks. It was pretty windy and chilly, but enjoyed being able to put on our jackets!

The boys had fun playing with the light sabers, and ninja masks at grandpa's.

At bedtime Bethany came out like this.  So we had to get a picture of her with her self made goatee and uncle Lee's real goatee.
