I took Bethany school shopping, and Hannah came along with us. A lot of times I will buy them clothes when I see them on sale, or if they need something I'll pick it up while they are at school. So it was fun to take the girls with me and see what kinds of things they would pick out. Bethany is usually more plain and good with anything. But she was picking out some wild clothes! This one wasn't too crazy, but there were some crazy ones. I felt like I was shopping with my mom. She likes some wild stuff too! So I told Bethany that she needed to go shopping with Da, they would have fun!

I'm not sure what happened to Hannah's eye, but she popped a blood vessel.

I knew I had a better picture of Drew and Bethany's hand print on the wall at school. You can actually see their names on this one! So awesome!

At Hannah's back to school night!

Dallen was so excited that his soccer jersey was yellow! His favorite color's are yellow and orange. The last two years he has been orange both times. He really didn't want orange again and was hoping for yellow! He was so happy when he found out he was on the yellow team! Happy day!

Dallen had soccer practice and Hannah had cross country practice the same night, which is normal to have more than one thing going on! After his practice we decided to stop on the way home to see Hannah run. We were waiting on this rock for them to come by!

Hannah and Daddy running! Hannah is a faster runner than I am, so Kyle gets to go to practice with her. They are about the same speed, except for the times Hannah will leave him in her dust! She is an excellent runner!

Bethany at her back to school day. She got to go around and find her classes and practice opening her locker. It took awhile for her to figure it out, but she eventually did! 

Kyle and I have been enjoying some lunch dates with having the kids in school. Sometimes Bryleigh tags along, but other times she is at a play date. One of the places we like to go is firehouse pizza. They have yummy pizza. They have an awesome lunch special where we get a medium pizza, a salad to share, an order of bread sticks and two drinks for $12. You can't beat that! So we were at firehouse pizza and on Friday's they do free lunch Friday. During the lunch hour the manager will pick a table that can get their lunch for free. We were pleasantly surprised when we got the free Friday lunch! The total was .01. It was a nice surprise!

The boys had a back to school skating night at classic fun center. They get to skate for free, and they got a slice of pizza. The kids are always up for skating!

These two are still figuring skating out. Dallen was getting the hang of it, at least on the carpet. The skating floor is quit a bit more slippery. He did a good job holding onto someone. 

Bryleigh had fun using the walker on the carpet. It was her first time on skates. Maybe even Dallen too. 

The girls and Rylan have their own roller blades and roller blade all the time on our sidewalk. So they are pretty good! The girls helping Dallen.

Hannah and Bethany participating in one of the races, and Hannah ended up falling on one of the turns. When she feel she hit her head on the floor. She was not feeling good after that she we went home. She had a headache for the next couple days, and I kept her home from school one day. We were worried about a concussion, and still aren't sure if she had one or not. But after about a week she started to feel better. She swore she would never roller blade again! That didn't last long! But she could wear a helmet though!

Dallen's Rylan's and Bethany's 1st day of school.

Dallen is in first grade, and it will be his first year going to school all day and eating lunch at school. 

His teacher's are Mrs. Wellard and Mrs. Fox. He goes to Mrs. Fox's class in the morning and Mrs. Wellard's in the afternoon. He was a littler nervous about going to a new school and making new friends!

Rylan's first day of 3rd grade. His teacher is Mrs. Child's. He was also a little nervous about going to a new school and making new friends. Also, he was the oldest in our family at the school and feels a little bit of responsibility for Dallen. 

We decided to move the boys back to Adam's because the charter school wasn't working for them. The younger classes teacher's kept changing every year. Last year we had him in a good cluster with 2 teachers we loved, and one not so much. He excelled in reading and math and we were super happy with those classes.  We didn't care for his writing teacher and felt like he was not learning how to spell or write very well. We were already trying to decide if we were going to send them back or not. Then we found out that his reading teacher was not going to come back. That sealed the deal for me and we knew that the boys wouldn't be going back. Dallen probably would of been fine wherever, he is so ahead of what a 1st grader should be able to do. But I wanted to keep the boys together. 

We felt like we should give Adam's a chance again, and it has been wonderful for the boys! They have made so many good friends and the teacher's they have this year are amazing! Some of the boys in Rylan's class at the charter were a little rough around the edges. So we were so happy with the quality of the boys in his new class. They are all friends and have fun playing sports during recess!

Bethany's first day of 7th grade! I have been so worried about her going to Jr. High. It kind of freaks me out. My 7th grade year was my worst year in school, so that is probably why I am so scared for her. My friends that I though were my friends were so mean to me all year and didn't like me. By the time 8th grade came around they liked me again and it was better. But Junior High does not hold fond memories for me. 

She on the other hand was super excited and couldn't wait! She was excited to have a locker and to get to change classes during the day. Her first day she got lost two times, and also lost her schedule. She was able to go to the office and get a new one. She is becoming so independent! She has 10 classes, 5 on A day and 5 on B day. That is a lot of classes to keep track of, but she likes having the diversity of taking lots of different things.

For her electives this semester she has PE, Spanish 1, Art 1, Creative Writing, and Keyboarding.

She had a good first day and was ready for day 2. She was able to make friends in her classes and with people who had lockers next to her's. She had friends to eat lunch with both days. I was worried about that!

All the kids together! My mornings and afternoons are crazy with drop off and pick ups. No one gets to ride the bus. 

We leave at 7:50 to drop Bethany off at school, then we drop Hannah off at her school about 8:10. Then I take the boys to their school on the way home about 8:20ish and they walk across the field to school and then they get to play on the playground until 8:45. Now that's it's winter and freezing outside I don't want the boys outside that long. So we come home after dropping Hannah off and have about 20 minutes until I take them to school. On Mon, Wed, and Fridays Bryleigh has preschool at 9:00, so we come home for about 10 minutes then take her to school. It is quite the process!

In the afternoon I pick Bethany up at 3:00, I have a friend that brings Hannah home for me which is a life saver! If I have to pick her up I get her after I get Bethany. I bring them home and then go pick up the boys at 3:30, sometimes in front of the school or on nice days at our church which is behind the school. It is crazy driving them all around, but am glad they are all where they need to be!

Bryleigh is not sure what to do with all of her buddies gone! She doesn't think I play with her enough. I'm glad she has preschool a couple times a week, that helps. It also helps for me to have a break. She is a little talker and will talk to me all day. I enjoy talking with her, but sometimes I just need some quite. She also has quite the list of little friends, {miss social} so we try to do play date's a couple times a week. 

1st temple day!

Bethany has been so excited about going to the temple to do baptism's for the dead. She has been counting down the months! She wanted to go to the Salt Lake Temple for the first time. Kyle and I were so excited that we got to go with her. Kyle was able to  the baptism and confirmation with her. I was her escort and got to be with her during it. It was absolutely amazing to get to take her to the temple! I can't wait until we have all our kids inside those doors with us! It is pure happiness!

We were kind of rushed to leave to take the other kids to their cousins house, while we took Bethany to the temple. We had already left and I was asking Bethany if she had her white underwear and bra on. She didn't. We totally forgot. So we had to stop at store downtown and pick up some stuff for her. Next time we'll remember! 

Bethany got to pick where we went to lunch afterwards. She chose Cafe Rio, and she got to get her own burrito! She was one happy girl!

We thought this was funny. On the street next to the capital they had this huge water slide set up. We were wondering why we kept seeing people in their swim suits, until we saw the water slide. Kind of a bazaar thing to see in the middle of a city.

Bethany's 12!

Bethany's 12! I can't believe my baby girl is official a young women. It's crazy how fast time goes! She was so excited to not have to go to school on her birthday! This is the first year ever! Usually school starts the week of her birthday, but this year it is the week after.

She was so funny with her presents! She got a bag of make up! Once they turn 12 they get to wear mascara, powder and lipstick. She couldn't wait!

She got a kindle fire. She has been wanting a tablet for the longest time!

She had a fun filled day! 

I had a yw's bucket for her. It had a personal progress book, strength of youth book, and personal progress journal in a fabric holder. Another journal, some earrings and of course jelly bellies! Her favorite. I also made her a yw's binder that I had given to her early so she could start preparing to go into young women's!

I told her that I had a surprise for her at 11:00. She was so confused and anxious to know what her surprise was. She was wondering why it was at a certain time. It was time to go and we go to target. Now she was really confused! I told her I had set up a time for all the worker to sing happy birthday to her! She was not happy about that. Then we walk over to the eye doctor in the store. We were in the store and she was still confused. Then she got it, she was getting contacts! She was so excited and surprised. She didn't think she was going to get contacts for a little bit. She said it was the best surprise!

When we got home from the eye doctor, with her new contacts, the beehives had heart attacked our front door! She was surprised yet again. She loved it!! 

Originally we weren't going to have a party for Bethany. She was getting a special date with mommy and daddy on Saturday to go to lunch and the temple. Then she was getting another special overnight date with mommy and daddy. We thought that was enough. But then decided that she could have some friends over to hang out, for her party. We made up some pizza's, had some snacks and cupcakes, and they just hung out and played.

  This girl is amazing! She carries a heavy load being the oldest of 5 kids. She feels the responsibility and does a great job being a good example to them. She is getting used to baby sitting for us, and it is awesome! Kyle and I love being able to go on dates or just run errands and know the kids are in good hands.

She is in 7th grade and goes to Central Davis Junior High. It is not our home school, but transferred her there so she could take honors classes. She is taking honors math, english, history and science. She loved being able to pick her elective classes. She got a 4.0 for both term 1 and 2 so far. She has set this goal for herself and I am so proud of her for working so hard to make it happen. 

She loves to play softball. She got to play on a comp team in the fall, and loved that she got to play for a longer season. She was sad when her other season was over in June. Is is a great player and does a good job filling any spot the coach needs her to play. She was also the most consistent hitter on her team.

She loves to spend time with the adults. She likes to just sit and chat with us.
