my favorite

Yes I have favorites when it comes to my children.

I don't have a favorite 'child' but I do have a favorite child at different times. Sometimes my favorite will change within the same day or maybe multiple times a day.

It seems that at times one child will be in a funk and just not pleasant to be around and they tend to be my least favorite.

Other times one of them may be doing extra things and helping out, or just being super nice, and they jump up the chart.

Or I may just have more in common with one of them one day or just enjoy being with a certain child a little more.

It changes, depending on my mood, on my kids moods and what we may be doing that certain day.

But I have to say when I have a baby in the house, they usually tend to be my favorite most of the time. It may be because they still need me and rely on my so much. Or maybe because they can't talk yet, so they can't talk back or fight with their siblings? Or is it because they take 2 naps a day, so get a break from them?

Whatever the reason, this little dude is usually my favorite right now. (Not that there aren't close runners up.) He just makes me smile and brings a little extra joy and happiness to my days!

I don't feel bad, because I think he is every one's favorite right now! All of the kids still love him to pieces!

And just for the record, I love all of my kids the same and they all get a turn being my 'favorite!'

eggs on the roof

When we got back from our trip a couple weeks ago we were surprised by a new visitor. Yep a pigeon decided to make a nest on our roof above our front door. We were tempted to take the nest down and put it somewhere else, but thought that there might be eggs in the nest.
So we went and looked out the window upstairs and sure enough there were eggs. So now we would feel so bad about moving the nest. So we will have a family of birds living with us for awhile. The eggs should take about 18 days to hatch, so within the next week. We were thinking that's not too bad. But then it takes another month until the babies are ready to leave the nest. So we will get to enjoy baby pigeons chirping and chirping for awhile.

So if you happen to stop by make sure you tell our pigeon lady friend and babies hello!

my little man is 3!

Rylan had a fun weekend of celebrating his birthday. This is his favorite way to pose for the camera these days. A simple "smile Rylan", and this is what you get!

I think it is perfect!
On Friday he had a train party with his friends. He didn't want to play games, so they played with his trains. Then we had hot dogs and strawberries for lunch (his choice), ate cupcakes and opened presents. It was the easiest party but he was so happy! It was nice that I got to visit with some good friends during it, an extra bonus for me!
We got him some birthday balloons that he loved!

On Saturday he chose to go to the dinosaur museum and to McDonald's for dinner. It is so fun to see him so happy!
On Sunday (his actual birthday) he got to open his presents and have cupcakes again. We finally got him a boy bike. We figured he had been riding the pink bikes around long enough! Poor kid I know. He also got a skateboard, because they are just way too cute. It is so fun to buy things for him being our first boy. We love welcoming boy stuff into our house and I think he does too!

It was so fun to watch him on his skateboard, he knew exactly what to do!

The he ended his birthday with cupcakes. He had a great weekend and I so enjoyed helping make it special for him!

Happy birthday my sweet boy!

trouble!

This little guy discovered earlier in the week that he can leave the room that his mommy is in. He has been crawling for awhile, but he would stay close just moving about the room we were in. But not anymore. It always freaks me out when I look over at him and he is nowhere to be seen. He is loving his new freedom, and sure gets a kick out of it when I come to find him!

And here's to hoping he doesn't discover the stairs anytime soon!!

Utah

We had a great time in Utah visiting our families. So much fun that I didn't take very many pictures! We went to a really fun park with Ky's mom and sister's. The girls had so much fun playing with their cousins. I had fun playing volleyball, it had been way too long!
We decided to stay in a hotel this time around. It was fun having a nice breakfast every morning, and a fun to pool to play in. I think it helped the kids having one place to stay. They seemed to do better on this trip. Or I guess it could of been the benedryll that we brought with us! Either way they did great.
We celebrated Hannah's and Rylan's birthday while we were there. They loved that!

We went to the children's museum downtown, and they had this fun helicopter on the roof. It was pretty cool!

And a cute pic of Dallen to show he was there!

Disney on Ice

The main reason we went to Utah when we did was to see Disney on Ice. It was downtown at the Delta center (I will probably always call it that!) So we rode trax's down. It was fun riding on the train! We saw the World of Fantasy tour, which included Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Tinkerbell. I perfect mix for our family!
We first got to see Micky, Minnie, Donald and Goofy, which are always fun!

Then we got to see all of the Car's. Rylan loved it!Next was the little mermaid and her gang.

Right about now Rylan feel asleep, so I was so glad that the car's were first. At least he was awake for the important part!

Then we got to watch the Lion King, and Tinkerbell, (the girls favorite).

It was more entertaining that I thought it would be and rather enjoyed myself. It was also fun watching the kid enjoy themselves. It got me so in the mood to go to Disneyland. So that may just have to be our trip for the fall!

Lucky Day

Hannah thought she was the luckiest girl when she got to go to the doctor and the dentist in the same day. She was counting down the days! Funny girl!

That is until..... she found out that they all had to get flu shots. Then she was only excited for the dentist. That is what she wants to be when she grows up right now, is a dentist and a mommy. Bethany and Hannah argued who got to go first. And they were both so big and marched back to the dentist chair all by themselves. I was in the chair on the other side of the wall getting my teeth cleaned, and it was so fun to listen to them talk to the hygienist and listen to them interact with her. Bethany had to point out that she hasn't lost any teeth yet, and all of her friends have. And was all to happy to show off her new big teeth (6 year old molars)!
The kids all escaped without any cavities. I wish I had been so lucky!

the big 5 party

Hannah choose rainbow's for the theme of her birthday party. We had fun with it. We had a rainbow pinata, rainbow lollipops, rainbow cupcakes, played pin the cloud on the rainbow, face painted rainbows, you get the idea.

The party crew! Hannah had such a fun time and felt so special. It's so fun to watch them enjoy themselves!

the big 5

I seriously can't believe she is already 5! Where did the time go? I must say that she is the coolest, smartest, funniest, prettiest, and awesomiest 5 year old that I know!
But I'm just a little bias!

She had a good day. Daddy made her a special breakfast. She got to go to preschool and take strawberry cupcakes. She picked to go to sweet tomatoes for dinner, and then we went to ITZ and played. Then ended her special day opening presents and having more cupcakes.
She got this Dr. outfit that she loves! She wanted a white coat like the doctors wear. And her daddy bought her some pretty purple flowers, that she also loved!!

Happy Birthday Hannah! You truly are a amazing girl! We love you!

Miss Colorful

This girl loves dressing herself. She also enjoys matching, couldn't you tell? She likes to match stripes withs stripes, flowers with flowers (like above).

She is also really good about matching colors, just not when she is trying to match the first two options.
Sometimes I think about having her change one of her pieces of clothing , because sometimes it is pretty wild. But when I suggest it, she answers with a "why?"

She truly loves picking out her outfits and she feel so good about them. It makes her so happy! And that is all that really counts in the end! I have also come to love this about her. She is so fun and full of life!

So colorful Hannah will stay!

our new vacumn

Has 2 arms, 2 legs, a full head of hair and is very small and compact! He can pick up all the things our old vacuum leaves behind. Is awesome at getting everything hiding underneath our furniture. And makes our house seem so dirty until he cleans it for us!
The only thing wrong with this new vacuum, is he is not suppose to pick up all of these things!
