My little boy is 2!

My little man is now 2! I can't believe how fast the time really does go by. It seems like not too long ago it was him that I was waiting for to join our family. He is such a fun boy and am so glad he is a part of our family! It would be so incomplete without him. We wanted to take him on a train ride for his birthday. He LOVES trains, or Choo Choo's is what he calls them. Ky got caught up moving some dirt around with some guys from the ward so we missed the last train. We took him to the park, the next best thing, and mcdonals for dinner. It doesn't take much to please him! Maybe I'll take the kids to the train on Monday.

After the park we headed home to open some presents and for cake.
One of his presents was a new potty, that he was pretty excited about! As soon as it was opened, he pulled his pants down and sat on the potty. He has fun "practicing". Although today after church he did go a little poo on the potty, so I guess we will see. I'm not planning on getting serious for another couple months.
He had a choo choo cake, that he couldn't help but stick his fingers in while we sang to him!

Spring Break

We have had a fun relaxing spring break. Hannah had joyschool on Monday and Tuesday. I took advantage of that time to get some of Bethany school projects almost completed! One of them being her inquiry project, which is like a science project. She had to come up with a question and then figure it out. Her question was what makes cupcakes poof up? So we got to make a bunch of different cupcakes leaving out ingredients, and cooking them at different temperatures! Lots of fun.

One of the days I took the kids to see Bolt at the dollar movie, then we went to the duck pond and played at the park. They were a little disappointed because the only ducks out are the 4 standing on the side of the pond. So we feed the fish instead.

Other than that we just hung out and played at home. I had a bunch of other places I wanted to take them and do with them, but my energy levels are running pretty low these days. By Thursday Bethany was asking to do homework and saying she wanted to go to school. Quite the change from her resent attitude towards school. So she must enjoy school and homework more than she puts on. We may have a very long summer, even though she can't wait until summer and she wants to have a year off! Silly girl. I have enjoyed having Bethany home and not having much of a schedule, but it has also been a long week with all the kids and with Ky not getting home until 5:00. I am spoiled with him getting home around 2:45 most days, and that is what I am used to now. I'm ready for my spring break now:) But that's not going to happen with Ky being out of town the next couple of days. Let's hope we all survive!

Trips and Visits

The second weekend in March I went to Denver with my mom and sister for a girls weekend. It was GREAT! I was really wanting a break from the kids before the baby comes, and Southwest was having a great deal on airfare. So off we went. We stayed right down town in a fun hotel. Each floor had a different theme, and our floor was the chick flick floor. Pretty fitting! Me and my sister got in before my mom, so we went to some outlet stores. It was huge, and we spent 5 hours there! We were worried about what we were going to do until my mom's plane got in! We also found some great deals. The highway we took from the airport to the outlet stores had tole's on it. We came to the first one and paid our $2.50, no big deal. Then another 7 miles down the road there was another tole, we had to pay another $2.50. And sure enough another 7 miles down was another tole, but this one was only $2.25. It was crazy!! There was also tole's to exit off the road. So we were glad we found some good deals to make it worth our $7.25 it cost to get there! And we avoided that road the rest of the time we were there!

We had fun trying new restaurants, seeing chick flicks, going to a play and shopping. It was a great weekend and a nice break that I really needed! Thanks for coming along mom and Amber!!

I think my kids really enjoyed the break also. For the longest time, whenever I would remind them that I was going to be gone a couple days the girls would get upset because they didn't want daddy to do their hair. He hurts them, they would say. Then the day before I left, I was reminding them...just trying to prepare them. And Bethany says, "That's ok mommy, sometimes it's good to have a break from you." I didn't know if I should be happy that she was finally ok with me leaving, or sad that she wanted me gone!! And daddy sure spoiled them! They had 2 birthday parties, ballet, then he took them to the natural history museum, the zoo, and the park. Much more than what I am up to these days. I had drove myself to the airport, because I left early Friday morning, so I also drove myself home. I got home before everyone else who were at church. So when they got home from church I went to go see them at the door, and they all just walk right past me, including Ky! The day didn't get much better from there! So I guess I should of stayed a few extra days, then maybe I would be missed!!

The next weekend my mom and Garry came down to visit. It was so nice seeing my mom 2 weekends in a row! I could get used to that. It was planned before our Denver trip, and they really just came to see the kids. We went to Old town, got some Mexico food, and celebrated Hannah's and Rylan's birthday! We had a good time with them, but it went by way too fast!!

She's 4!!

My little Hannah turned 4 last week. She informed me that she isn't little anymore. "I can't be a little girl and a big girl at the same time mommy." We started off her birthday with a present from Bethany and Rylan. They gave her a doctor kit. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She spent ALL day playing with it. Doctoring everyone, including her babies. She even had to take it with her when we took Bethany to school. After Bethany got out of school we went to Chuck E. Cheeses. All the kids had so much fun!

We stopped and got her some birthday balloons on the way home. Strawberry shortcake is what she picked for her birthday party this year.
She got to open the rest of her presents when she got home. Bethany had a hard time letting Hannah do it, and letting Hannah play with the stuff first. It's hard when it's not your birthday!

Then we had cake. She wanted a Tinkerbell cake on her birthday. So we got some of their toys and that is what she got.I think she had a good day. Hopefully one she will remember!!

On Saturday she got to have her birthday party with some friends. She was so excited to have her friends over and wanted to start watching for them about an hour before her party. We distracted her until it got closer. But then she sat on the couch and watched for her friends to arrive. We played lots of fun games. Hopscotch.

She had a great time at her party and with her friends. We asked her later what her favorite thing she did at the party was, and she enjoyed the games and the cake! Happy birthday Hannah, we sure love you!!!
