a basketball team...

...is what we are going to have once this little surprise joins our family in May!

Although this wasn't in our immediate plans, we are really excited. This baby is meant to come to our family now and will be a great addition!

Bethany is not very excited because it is so hard being the big sister, and she will have to be an example to another kid.

Hannah is super excited. After we told them, she came up to me a little later and asked, "Do you really have a baby in your tummy?" She wanted to make sure before she got too excited. She also in enjoying figuring out a name for the baby. She tells me a new name everyday. She's too cute!

Rylan is also very excited, which kind of surprised me. After we told him he said, "Our family is going to be really big and I will LOVE that!" I'm glad he is happy about it.

Dallen has no clue of course, but I know he will have a hard time. I think it's always hardest on the youngest.

We are anxiously waiting for our next ultrasound (another 4 weeks) so we can see which way our family is going to swing, more boys or girls! This is the big tie breaker!

Everyone in our house has the same opinion, so it will be interesting if we are all wrong!

Having 5 kids under 8 will be a little crazy, but a good crazy!
I wouldn't change it for anything!!!

Thanksgiving Week.

We had a fun Thanksgiving week with my mom and Garry visiting. We went to the aquarium and gardens, out to Mexican, Me and Ky got a date night (yay) and celebrated Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving we woke up to a little bit of snow. The kids were so excited and ready to go play in it. The snow on the frisbee is what they were able to collect around the yard.

We had a yummy dinner!

We decorated gingerbread houses.

He had to taste it before he put in on!

The kids were sad to see them go!

The next day we got our tree up and decorated. Yay for Christmas time!! I have all my shopping done, now I need to do some wrapping!
This boy is trouble when it comes to the tree. I knew it would be a tough year with him. There are no ornaments on the bottom half of the tree, and hopefully the tree doesn't get tipped over!

mini me's

I had the same haircut as my girls when I was around their age. I don't think they have seen this pictures. They will think it's cool, I'm guessing.
So who do you think looks more like me???

pictures

We finally made it down to the river to get some pictures of the kids. I had wanted to do it on my birthday, then I decided to wait until the girls got their haircut. So they finally got done.

Silly girls.
I love Bethany's 1 missing tooth! Hopefully she will loose the other top one by Christmas, so we can sing all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth...

She's such a character!

I love that he is smelling the bud of the flower, he already picked off the petals. So funny!

I love that he will smile for the camera now. It's always a good milestone!

The kids with their cute daddy! The all sure love him, and so do I!

They never got the jump at the same time! I love my kiddos!!

The last picture of the day. They were cold and hungry.
Yes, Rylan is crying!

roller skating

My kids LOVE roller skating! The girls had this week off of school, so we took them and Rylan to a roller skating class. They all learned so much. The girls can now skate around the middle of the rink without having to hold onto the walls. Rylan was able to skate holding a teachers hand and at the end was able to skate off the rink by himself. They all progressed so much.
Now they just need to teach their dad some stuff! :)
(The picture quality is not very good in these pic's, but oh well!)

changes

The girls have begged and begged me to get their haircut short and they both have begged and begged to have bangs. I was against the bangs part and still am kind of. But morning after morning while I was doing their hair and them begging me I finally caved and let them do what they wanted to do. I guess it is their hair after all!!
I already have a deal with Hannah that she will grow her bangs out at 6 1/2! Well see.
No I really think their hair is cute! It's just not exactly what I would choose.
The girl's room got some changes too. We decided to take apart their bunk beds. They love it! They really enjoy having their own space. I really like it too. It makes it more crowded, but it's a nice change.
Rylan wanted a picture taken too, since the girls were getting theirs taken. He is such a goofball sometimes!
And Dallen isn't the only one that plays with his food!

18 months

We got to celebrate our last 1/2 birthday for the year with Dallen's on Monday. The kids had fun singing to him all day. He got to open his present, and got to play with the truck for about 2 minutes until his brother snatched it. I don't think Dallen has been able to touch it since. He got chocolate chip muffins. He was a little worried about the candle.
He doesn't talk a ton. Which by my 4th I appreciate it probably more than I should. He is starting to say more and more words which is fun also. His favorites are truck (whenever we pass a semi truck on the road), ball, go and hat. Dallen is not a big fan of food. He usually plays with it (like above), enjoys throwing it on the floor or feeding it to Rylan. When I tell Rylan to eat his food, not Dallen's he tells me "but Dallen is sharing." Which is super nice, but Dallen needs to eat his food. He has yet to hit 20 pounds, he is sitting around 19.5. I thought for sure by now he would hit that mark. Hopefully he will soon. The only meal he really eats is breakfast and it takes him about 30 minutes to eat his cereal. At least he enjoys one meal of the day.

He still sleeps like a champ. I have no idea what time he wakes up in the morning, because when he does he just plays and rests in his bed until we come get him. Rarely is he crying for me to come get him, I can usually hear him talking or his music is on. When I do go in to get him I am always greeted with a huge smile! I'm so glad he wakes up happy. I wonder what will happen when he is in a bed verses a crib. Will he hang out in his bed after he wakes up? Maybe he will just have to stay in a crib forever!!

He loves to smile for the camera. He catches me off guard sometimes. I don't even have to ask him to smile, as soon as he sees the camera pointed at him he will smile for me. If I ask him to smile I get something like below!

He is such a silly and fun little boy. He has been a huge blessing to our family like all of our children have been!

disney on ice

Saturday we went to disney on ice, again. We went in March up in Utah. We loved it then, so we decided to go again. And of course we all loved it! Bethany and Hannah both chose to dress up for it. Bethany was ariel again, and Hannah a pink fairy. The boys took their mickey mouse ears.
We got to see the gang. Bethany was so happy that daisy was there, she wasn't at the last one we went too. I decided after looking at the pictures that I feel bad for goofy, he is the 5th wheel. Where's his girl?

We got to see Lion King.

The little mermaid.

Lilo and Stitch. (not our favorite)

Peter pan and Tinkerbell.

We had a great time!!

halloween blah

Sounds exciting doesn't it?!
It was a blah week starting with my birthday and ending with Halloween.
I had wanted to do so many fun things with the kids, that just never got done. With Ky out of town, us joining him out of town and getting back the day before didn't help. We didn't even carve our pumpkins or decorate them, which is kind of sad.
Anyways, our one Halloween thing we did was go to our ward Halloween party and trunk or trick.
Rylan was peter pan (minus the boots and hat. The boots he didn't want to wear and the hat, we don't think it came with one.) Hannah was sleeping beauty, Bethany Ariel, and Dallen was a giraffe.
Dallen did not want anyone but me to hold him.

The kids had fun playing the games, trunk or treating, and then see all the yummy candy that they got!

Hannah kept "falling asleep" all night long.

Look at him eyeing his dad!

The kids enjoyed Halloween, and didn't really realize all the things we didn't do. Good thing they are flexible!
