soccer

Dallen's first time playing soccer!  He has been wanting to play soccer for awhile.  We got him on a team for the spring and he was super excited that he was on a orange team.  One of his favorite colors! After we signed him up I was asking him why he wanted to play so bad.  His first response was that he wanted to play with Rylan on his team.  I explained that he can't be on Rylan's team becuase they do it by ages.  His second reason he wanted to play was because you get a treat after your game.  I this point I was wondering if I had made a mistake signing him up.  I was a little worried he would be too shy to really get out there and play, like Hannah was when she played when she was 4. 

 A lot of the time she would stand around, or run behind the crowd.  Her problem was she didn't like it. 

Beth-nay was the star of the team though, she loved it!

But Dallen did great.  He jumped in there and played and tried his hardest and loved it!  He keeps asking when it's soccer day again!

And he wasn't even the littlest one out there!

Rylan had a soccer game later in the day.  He is on the same team he was on in the fall.  They play fall and spring and have a break in the middle.  He is excited to be playing again and is having fun.  He's not being as aggressive as I would like him to be, so we will have to work on that. But he did a great job!

Our Friday's and Saturdays for the next few months will be filled with soccer! I love seeing the boys learn a new skill and have fun doing it!

spring break SLC 3

On Friday our last day we visited the daughters of pioneer museum.  

Then we went and walked around memory grove, where Kyle and I got our engagement pictures taken. I was living up behind the capital at the time with my sister and Adam and my mom.  I loved living downtown during that time and our first years of marriage.  It was such a fun place full of history.  We lived in the avenues for 3 years.  I attended LDS business collage on South temple and worked downtown at DMBA. I spent many days walking from school to work and loved being downtown.  Kyle and I went to the SLC temple twice a month during that first summer we were married.  A lot of times he would pick me up from work and we would walk across the road to the temple.  I'm am grateful for the time we had to take advantage of where we were living!

 That night Kyle went home with the three little ones.  Rylan had soccer practice and Dallen had a early soccer game in the morning.  Bethany and Hannah stayed another night at the hotel with me and we went to dinner and then they went swimming.  They had a blast.  

We had a fun night and went home the next day. 

We had a fun spring break and are glad we had the break.  I think we all were needing a break from school and schedules!

spring break in SLC 2

Thursday we spent the morning swimming, and again the kids didn't want to get out of the water! 

We went to another favorite restaurant we would visit a lot in Albuquerque Sweet tomatoes.  We don't have one too close here so we had to go when we were close.

We then went to Ensign peak where Kyle proposed to me.  We hiked up to the top, which was harder than it needed to be with a sleeping Bryleigh.  30 pounds of dead weight was hard.  The kids all did so well though! 

We made it to the top and Bryleigh woke up! Hannah is a little scared of heights, so she was a little nervous up on the hill. The view was amazing!

The next day Dallen wanted to do the hike again! 

We went back to the hotel for dinner and went swimming again. The waterslide is only open at night, so we had to go again so they could go down the slide.

spring break in SLC

We spent most of our spring break hanging out in Salt Lake City.  We had enough hotel points to stay in a hotel for free so we took advantage of it and had a little vacation.  

We went to the hotel Tuesday night and went swimming.  The hotel had a little waterpark in it with a water slide and some little slides for the little ones.  They loved it and would stay there all day if we would let them!

With our membership with the hotel we also get free upgrades and got upgrades to a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for out little or not so little family.  The girls got their own room and bathroom.  The 3 younger kids shared the living room area. And Kyle and I got our own room.  It is the way to do it with 5 kids!

The next morning Wednesday we wanted to explore temple square.  We started it off by visiting the church history museum which is so fun.  They have some pretty neat historical things to see and then they have this awesome kids area for them to play. 

After the museum we met my mom at Jason's Deli for lunch.  It was one of our favorite places to eat in Albuquerque but it's not so close to us now.  So we had to take advantage to being close.

Then the kids begged us to go on a tour of the anniversary inn.  They love exploring the rooms.  This is off the balcony of one of the rooms that Ky and I have stayed at before. 

We drove around the avenues and saw our old apartments and then explored a little more.  We found Hannah's dream home, it's pink!

We made our way back to temple square and did a tour of the beehive house.  It's fun to walk through and experience that history. We went to the lion house afterwards to get some cupcakes, I've heard they are yummy.  But they didn't have any, so we shared some cake.  We got some free rolls to go with our dessert. It held us over till dinner!

cousin flashback

 I came across they adorable pictures from March 2011.  We were in California visiting my sister's family and going to Disneyland.  These are some great memories!!

All the cute kiddos.  Bryleigh was in my tummy getting ready to make her appearance. We loved visiting them in California and getting to spend time with them!  These kids love each other so much!! I'm grateful for the past year that they have been able to live close and see each other daily or weekly.  They will never forget these special times!

p12 March

On our way home from our California trip we stopped at a outlet mall by where my sister used to live.  They have a awesome disney outlet store there we wanted to check out.  Our luck wasn't with us though, the store was closed due to flooding, just like everything at disneyland! We were bummed.  But walking through the mall we came across this dress store.  When Hannah saw it her jaw about dropped to the floor.  She was in heaven.  So I had to take her in there so she could look around.  She was cute though and would say how much she liked a dress and then what she would do to make it modest.  That a girl! We may have to find some local dress shops to take her too. It's so her thing!

Pictures of the boys sleeping.  About once a week Bethany will ask me to take a picture of her sleeping.  She wants to see what she looks like sleeping.  I have yet to actually do that, which I should.  But I went in to check on the boys one night and find Dallen all curled up in his bed, so I had to take a picture.  So Rylan got a picture too. I guess Bethany will be next!

I needed a night out but didn't really want to go out by myself.  So I took my girls and we went to dinner and did some shopping.  They are great company and I love spending time with them!

Bethany's close to sleeping picture.  Bethany is our sleepwalker and sleep talker.  She came upstairs while we were watching a show with her glasses on and just looking around.  While I was getting my camera ready to take her picture she goes over to the couch and tried to fall on it, but totally missed and fell on the floor.  I was only half paying attention so at first it kind of scared me, like did she just fall back asleep.  She didn't know why she was upstairs or what she was doing.  But we got her back in bed after a few good laughs!

My cute family at church.  We slept in and were late, so we sat in the foyer.  I got a chair to myself while the rest of them crammed together on the couch. 

Rylan and scout.  Rylan loves scout and taking care of him.  If scout is visiting then Rylan will most likely be in the laundry room with him.
