Carlsbad Caverns

We just got back from a family trip to San Antonio, Texas. On the way there we stopped in Carlsbad for the night and were able to go to the caves. It was so fun to see. We are so glad that we stopped, originally we weren't going to. The kids were kind of stinkers. We thought they would enjoy getting out and walking around for awhile. But the girls just aren't really into hiking yet. In the caves it was a little cool, 56 degrees. It felt good to us, but Bethany is cold blooded and is ALWAYS cold. So she was complaining of being cold the whole time and when she isen't having fun, she lets you know. But we are still glad that we went!!

We went to the Big Room Cave, and to get into the caves you ride down a elevator 750 feet. We were both surprised at how massive this cave was. Here are some pictures from our little adventure.

What happens when Rylan at enough of being carried, and Hannah had enough of walking...they switched. Hannah really enjoyed being carried in my moby wrap, funny girl. We got a couple funny looks and one lady we passed made the comment, "how boy." Although it looked funny, it worked for awhile, and the kids were happy, that's what counts!

Rylan wanted to hold Hannah's hand, and was so happy when she did. They do this in the car too, since they are the ones that sit by eachother.

Sea World!!

We finally got to San Antonio on Thursday afternoon. The drive seemed to take forever! One mistake we made was giving Hannah too many liquids. She drank a water bottle full of juice, and a 2nd one of water. Needless to say she was needing to go potty every 1-2 hours. We take a potty with us in our car, the one they use when they are potty training, and it is a lifesaver!! We just pull off the road and they can do their business. Well, the 3rd time she needed to go, we were 2 miles from a rest area, so we told her to hold it for a few minutes. She got mad we didn't just pull over and ended peeing and pooping in her seat. GROSS!!! We got her cleaned up as good as we could, but she had to ride the rest of the way in her wet carseat. Serves her right I think!! Anyways... we made it!!

On Friday we went to Sea World. We had a blast. We didn't enjoy the 100 degree weather with too much humidity. It was kind of miserable...I much perfer the dry heat!

They had a play area for the kids, that we hit first before the crowds came. The girls liked it!

Us coming off the kid roller coaster. Both girls were a little scared. I sat by Hannah, and Bethany had to ride by herself..she didn't like that very much. Also, the girls are wearing matching clothes, to help them not getting lost. Their hair are both in french braids, to keep in off their backs and faces. Point being...we had a bet going on how many time would they get asked if they were twins. Bethany said 1 and Hannah said 3....well Hannah was right, we got asked 3 times if they were twins. This seems so wierd to us, even if they are wearing the same thing, there is a notable difference in height. We get asked if they are twins quite a bit, proably every couple weeks. To the point where Bethany starts getting bugged..."why do they keep asking if were twins? Were sister's not twins!"

We really enjoyed the Believe show. It was so fun so see these whales so close, and doing flips. It amazes me that people can train these animals to do what they want!

The girls favorite show was the Viva show. It is about acrobats on land and sea. So they had people doing all sorts of cool things and then dolphin doing flips. I guess it's time to take them to the circus...I think they would love it!!

Ky and I took turns going on one of the rollercoaster. While we were waiting for Ky, we got some pictures. Hannah so wanted to go on the mommy and daddy rollercoaster, and ever threw a little fit over it. She decided that when she is a mommy then she will be able to go.
We went back to Sea World on Saturday so we could play in the water park. It is only open on the weekends. The kids loved the kiddie pool they had. They also had a lazy river that we floated around in for awhile. It was a lot of fun!!

Before we left the girls had to go on their rollercoaster one more time. But Bethany did not want to sit by herself...so we had to take turns. It took forever to wait in line twice, but they had fun.

The Riverwalk

On Sunday we ventured down to the River Walk. It is such a neat part of town. We took a ride on a little tour boat, that told us a little about the history of the river.

We ate lunch at the rainforest cafe on the river walk. It is such a fun enviroment. On our way out we even ran into our good friends, the Christensen! It was so funny. We knew they were going to San Antonio the same weekend, but still the chances of running into eachother are pretty slim. So that was fun to see a familiar face in a different city!

Now that I have bored you all with too many pictures, that is it. We had such a fun time exploring a new place and just spending time together as a family! One of the girls favorite parts of our trip was the hotel. They get so excited to stay in hotels, it was one of their highlights.

The drive home was long, we did the 11 hour trip in one day. With three kids 4 and under, it is anything but dull! They did do pretty good. Rylan threw up in the car shortly after we got going, which again you can really clean the seat. We made it home, and it is so nice to come home to our house after being gone for awhile. It sure makes you appreciate what you have more!!

Joyschool Graduate!

On Tuesday Bethany graduated from joyschool. She has had such a fun year with these 2 boys in her class. She is so excited to move on to kindgarten next year. This same day we found out which class she will be in at the Family School. It wasn't our top pick teacher, but all of the teachers at her school are great!! We are so excited about it. Hannah is happy that she gets to do joyschool with Skyler next year! Fun stuff!!

7 wonderful years!!

On May 18th, Ky and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! I can't believe that 7 years have already gone by. I can't believe how much closer we have become and how much our love has grown. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend and that I get to be with him forever. He is such a wonderful husband and daddy. Our kids just adore him, which I love! I couldn't of asked for a better guy!!! I love you sweetheart!!!

The lost wedding band....

Today after I got ready, I put on my watch and wedding ring, but I also wear my old wedding band on my right hand...and it was no where to be found. It is the wedding band I got on our wedding day...a year later on our anniversary I got a new band with diamonds on it. My old band is just a plain silver band. Nothing too special! At least that is what I thought until today, when it was no where to be found!! I always have my watch, and 2 rings together in the same place, so I found it really odd that it wasn't there. My first thought was maybe one of the kids did something with it. But previous times when they have played with them, they always let me know.

So I started looking. I cleared off my nightstand, looked underneath in all the drawer, thinking maybe it had fallen in. I took all the sheets off our bed, moved the mattress to make sure it hadn't fallen under the bed and just couldn't see it...but of course it was not there. I spent a couple hours today looking and looking, and driving myself mad!! This afternoon I shed a few tears over it, realizing how much it really meant to me!

I think I had said about 5 prayers, just pleading to know where to look. Finally after my last one, I went back in my room looked everywhere 1 more time. Then decided that it was just gone, I was going to just have to live with it. Then I remembered that I had put some garbage on my nightstand last night. I had put it all together in a big bag and earlier had taken out to the garbage can, after looking through it of course. I felt that I should look again. As I pulled the bag out of the garbage can, thank goodness yesterday was garbage day and the garbage can was empty, there was my ring sitting in the bottom of the garbage can. I was so relieved that I had finally found it!! It has been driving me crazy all day!!

What a testimony builder for me that Heavenly Father really does hear our prayers and he does answer them, even when it is as silly as a wedding band. Not always on our time, He made me wait all day, but he did answer it. Thank goodness for Him and for the Holy Ghost to guide us. After I found the ring I had to really think about how I got to that point, and why I thought to look in the garbage a 2nd time, so I know that is was not just my thinking that got me there, or I would still be looking@!! A good ending to my stressful day!!!

What's new with the kids....

One of Rylan's new accomplishments is climbing the ladder to the girls bunkbeds. He is such a little climber. Once he gets to the top, he likes to walk around...of course. So we have to really watch him. We have to keep their door closed unless were in there, he loves it!!! He has also gotten a few new teeth...they are coming in like crazy. You can kind of see 2 of his top teeth in this picture. He as 3 on top and 1 on bottom, with 2 more about ready to cut through.
Hannah found some of their stamps the other day and was really good and asked me if she could play with them. I told her no, not right now. She wasn't so good at listening. This is how I found her shortly later. Blue cinderella on her forehead, pink on her lips, pink on her belly button, and a couple on her legs. She had fun!!

Mother's Day

I really look forward to mother's day every year. I love having a day where I am not expected to do much. My breakfast, lunch and dinner were made for me...thanks Ky and girls! Also all of the kids meals were made by someone other than me. I didn't have to do the dishes after dinner, and I even got out of a few poopy diapers. Too bad we have early church, or I would of been able to sleep in too:) Although...by the time bedtime rolled around, Ky was a little tired so I stepped up and got the kids to bed and gave him a little break. I had a great day...and really enjoyed spending the day with my wonderful family!! Thanks guys!! I like to get pictures with my kids on mother's day. Usually I am the one taking the pictures, but on mother's day and my birthday I always get pictures with me and my adorable kids.


This is what I got this year. A new mp3 player. I have a really old one that only held around 30 songs, and took regular batteries that liked to die in a middle of a run...and it was just starting to bug me. It is so interesting to see how far technology has come in the last few years. First my new one is half the size, has a built in battery that will last for 15 hours (no more dying during my runs) It has a 4 GB memory which will hold around 500 song, plus it has a fm radio on it, so if I get tired of the songs I have on there. I am really excited about this. Me and Ky are training for a half marathon, and this is totally going to help me keep up my motivation!!
