epcot {DW day 1}

We were so excited for our first day! We went to Epcot and really enjoyed it. It was a long tiring day, but worth it!

  I was kind of in awe of seeing the ball in person. I had been there as a kid, but I don't remember much at all. It was pretty fun to actually be there after planning our trip for so long!

 My cute kids! It was so fun exploring some new disney parks with these kiddos!
We started in the future world and just worked out way around the circle. We started with soarin around the world, which was awesome! I think it was everyone's favorite ride there. We are excited that we will get to ride it again when we go back to Disneyland. ! We then did nemo and friends. It was cute and reminded us a lot of the little mermaid ride. In the same building is living with the land. It was a little slow and not super interesting until we got to the green houses. It was fun to see all the amazing plants they grow there.

 Then we did spaceship earth. It was worth it just to go in the ball!

 We did mission space, which really just made us feel sick. And ended future world with test track. We had a fast pass for it and the line was going pretty fast. Then it broke down for about 20 or so minutes, which made it kind of frustrating. The ride was ok, but after riding radiator springs at Disneyland, we were a little under impressed. Radiator springs is just so much cooler.
 Then we made our way to the world showcase. I was most excited for this part of the park. I also wanted to get all the rides out of the way for the kids, so we could enjoy the rest of the park.
We first stopped in Mexico, which was pretty fun. We rode the gran fiesta tour which was cooler than I thought it would be.

 We made our way to Norway. All the countries were pretty awesome and you felt like you were in that country! We skipped out on the frozen ride because I wasn't able to get a fast pass and the wait was over an hour. We didn't think it was worth it for a 3 minute ride.
 It was fun that the park was decorated for Christmas. They had decorations up and Christmas music playing.
 China.

 Germany.

 Holding the ball.

 Italy.
 In the American pavilion we got to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause! I think I was more excited than the kids!

 We let the kids pick where they wanted to eat dinner. There were so many options and we weren't too smart and let them pick different places. Rylan wanted orange chicken from China. Dallen got chicken from America, Bryleigh chicken nuggets from America. The girls got a pretzel from Germany, and a crepe from France. Ky and I got fish and chips from United Kingdoms. They weren't as good as I was hoping. I think I get too spoiled with Iver's in Seattle! It was a little crazy and running around different places to get their food, but in the end they were all happy.

 Rylan loved Japan, because they had pokeman stuff in their stores. They have a fun store in the back with lots of fun Japanese treats.

 I really liked Morocco, it was fun to walk around.
France was also pretty fun!

 The girls and their crepes.
 We watched the show in France, it was nice to get off our feet for a little bit. We also watched the show in China. but you get to stand up and watch it! So we were glad for some seats! Our feet were pretty sore by this time of the day.

 United Kingdoms was pretty fun. Next time we will have to start on that end of the circle so we can explore it in the daytime!

 Canada.
 All of the parks had big Christmas trees that they had decorated. It helped remind us that is was still Christmas time!
 On our way out of the park we did spaceship earth again. I think it was the most unique ride to Epcot. Probably mostly since it is inside the ball. It was a good way to end our long day!
 We were all so exhausted but had so much fun! It was fun to get to see in person all the things that I have been researching for the past months. It's funny how everything just makes more sense after you have been there and experienced it all.
I would say day number 1 at Disneyyworld was a success!
Everyone's favorites for the day.
Bethany: Soarin, Test Track and United Kingdoms.
Hannah: Spaceship Earth, Soarin and Germany and Norway.
Rylan: Test Track and Japan {pokeman}
Dallen: Test Track and Japan.
Bryleigh: Soarin and Test Track.
My favorite ride was Soarin, and I don't think I could pick just one country. They were all amazing!
Ky: Soarin, three amigos ride, Mexico.

florida bound {plane ride}

We were all so excited and a little nervous to embark on our long awaited trip to Florida to go to Disneyworld My mom was nice and dropped us off at the airport, with all of our stuff!
. It was our first time flying as a family of 7!
Both of the boys backpacks got flagged for having some applesauce in their bags. I didn't think that it was liquid enough to take out, but it is! It made me laugh!
Funny though that only 2 out of the 5 backpacks got stopped. Not a very good record if you ask me!
Waiting to get on the plane! It's hard traveling by plane with all the waiting!

Our plane out the window. The kids were pretty anxious to get on it!
We made it on and got seats all together!
We had a layover in Phoenix Arizona I think. It was a smooth layover with no problems. Just waiting some more.
Rylan enjoyed looking out the window. When we finally got to Orlando it was 11:30 pm. It was late, and we had to wake up some kids. We then had to get our luggage and rental car and find our way to our condo. It was a long day of travel and we were all tired when we finally made it and got to bed!

The next day we rested in the morning and got some groceries for the week and explored. It was nice having a down day to recover from all of our traveling the day before.

We past this orange world store and had to stop for Hannah. The inside was just like a normal gift shop and we were a little under impressed. But the outside was pretty fun!
We played at the park at our condo and had fun swimming in the pool. It was a little chilly out, but was ok once we got in the water. It was fun to have the pool to ourselves.
The kids were a little nervous about crocodiles and being attacked. Behind the white fence was a swamp, which were everywhere, and it made the kids a little nervous.
It was a good first day in Orlando, and we were so excited for our first day at Disneyworld the next day!
