family pictures

We got new family picture's taken last month.  We did them at Old Town.  I LOVE them!!  How did I get such a cute family!!  We may have to go back to Albuquerque once a year so we can get our pictures taken!  Thanks Michelle!!!

NOT our 1st day of school

In celebration of NOT having to start school on August 14th (that's when our school started in Albuquerque) we went to the kids school and finished getting them registered for school which starts in three weeks.  The kids are loving having an extra long summer break! We found out that Rylan with be in morning kindergarten, I'm excited about that!
We tried out a new park that the kids approved of.
So far all the parks we have been to here have a bathroom and water fountains.  It is wonderful!
Then we found the library and got everyone new library cards and some new books to read.
A much better day than sending them off to school, that will come too fast as it is!!

early birthday

While my dad was visiting, we celebrated Bethany's birthday. She got to pick the restraunt for dinner.  She wanted to go to Dion's, but we wern't going to drive 10 hours to go there.  So we tried out the Brick Oven, which was ok, but not as good as Dions.  She got a lollipop sundae (ice cream with a lollipop in it) and got sung too.  It was fun!

Once one kid gets a picture with Grandpa, everyone gets a picture with Grandpa!!

She got to go to the store and pick out her present.  She loves it!
We loved having Grandpa here!  We are excited that we will get to see him more often now that we are closer to Washington.
Thank you for all your work and time!  I don't know if we could of done this move with out you.  We love you!!!

p52 week 32

August 5th to 11th

So there are way too many picture's of the inside of Hannah's mouth lately, but this one I had to share! This is her 5th loose tooth.  She was determined to get this one out herself.  She wiggled and twisted, and it was hanging on by a thread.  After about an hour of hard work she got it out!
Our one last hurrah with our good friends!  We are going to miss this family like crazy!  The girls enjoyed having girls to play with, and the boys just figured out how to play together.  And you'd think that with 11 kids between the two of us that it would be crazy, but it wasn't.  Everyone got along so well and it was so enjoyable for all of us to go play!

These ice cream trucks drive me crazy!  Because of that, the kids have never gotten ice cream from the ice cream truck.  They have asked if they could get ice cream from the ice cream truck every time it passes our house, which is several times a day.  They hear the music and they will run to the window to watch it pass.  So good thing for Grandpa.  On the last day of living in Albuquerque, he bough them all ice cream from the ice cream truck.  They all picked something different and they thought it was the coolest thing ever!!
The morning we left Albuquerque and moved to Utah.  I still can't believe we actually moved, and we aren't still talking about how we are going to move to Utah.  What a relief it was to know that everything fitted in the truck.  It was stacked to the ceiling and all the way to the back.  We also filled up every space we could in our two cars.  I don't think we could of fitted one more thing if we wanted to.  But it all fit!  We got the moving truck packed up Wed night, and got the house cleaned and left Thursday morning.  A day earlier than we had originally planned. But everything was done, and we were ready!
My awesome dad came down to help us move.  After we picked him up from the airport on Wed, we went to a BBQ on base, picked up the moving truck, and came home and packed and loaded the truck.  The three of us had it halfway packed before the other help came that night.  We wanted to make sure we had enough time, especially since we had to pack it so tight.  We wore us all out, but got it done.  After we finished loading the truck, and getting all the odds and ends done, we got to clean the house.  It was a crazy day, and am so glad it's over!!
We're on the road!  Our caravan. Kyle drove his car with the boys.  My dad drove the moving truck and started with Bethany, then Hannah got a turn with him, and then Rylan.  I love that they got to have some time with my dad by themselves.  They loved riding with him and also riding in the big truck! I had Bryleigh and Hannah in the van with me, and then Bethany.  We left about 8:30 in the morning, and got there about 9:00 at night.  It was a long drive, but the kids did great.  It was such a relief when we got to our new house. The next day was a blur of unloading the truck and trying to unpack the things we needed.  What a crazy and stressful week it has been!!
When we stopped for lunch, my dad went over in the shade to eat and all the kids followed him.  I thought it was cute!

park on base

To add to our list of last, is the park on base.  This has been one of our favorite parks all time.  It has fun toys and is shaded.  We haven't gone there as much the last few years, but we enjoy it when we do.

Then we meet up with Kyle to go to the summer bash on base.  We have gone the last few years and have a good time.  It is in the middle of a big field, with no shade so it gets pretty hot. We usually only last about an hour.

The kids favorite part is jumping on the jumping houses.

 Even Bryleigh got a turn.
The girls wanted to try to climbing wall.  They did a good job.  They said it was harder than it looked.

p52 week 31

July 29th to August 4th
The week of the lasts!
The girls wanted to drive by their old school one more time.
We of course had to go to Olo one last time.
The pirate park one last time.  Dallen dressed for it!  He has told me almost everyday that he misses the pirate park.  I have yet to find one here for him.  Although there is a castle park, maybe that will have to do!
And here's some randomness.  Bryleigh thinks she is such a big girl and loves to play outside with the big kids. She has to have an apple for each hand! Our apple tree is producing so many apples.  The kids told me they love it because they can get themselves a snack when they play outside!
Dallen is finally being more independent.  He has to dress himself all the time, which I love.  Especially since his shirt, pants and underwear are mostly always backwards! And he could care less, he got it on and that is what matters!!
