Every time we visit Washington, I feel like I am home. It is interesting that you can live away from a place for almost 20 years, but when you go back it still feels like home. Washington will always be my home, even if I don't currently live there!
We had fun hanging out at the Silverdale waterfront. It's so pretty!
Bryleigh was afraid of the dock. She didn't want to walk on it. Dallen was cute and was trying to help her and hold her hand, but she was having none of it! So she got to go on daddy's shoulders.
That night we had dinner at my cousin, Jenny Anne's house. Another one of our favorite families ever! I get along with her so well, and the kids get along so well too. They are similar and have so much fun together. They had fun playing wiffle ball!
We ended the night with pie face.
The next day we went to Poulsbo. One of my most favorite places ever! We got our yummy doughnuts at sluy's bakery and then walked to trail along the sound to the little park. We were having a hard time taking a picture!
My childhood home on Pugh Road. I lived here until I was around 11. My grandma Davis lived on the property in a mobile home. It was so nice to have her close and get to walk and visit her whenever we wanted. Behind the house was "the woods". We would go play in the woods all the time as kids! It makes me so nervous to think that we played down there. So many things could of gone wrong, but I guess those were more simplier days.
We went and walked around Port Gamble. It is where my Aunt's family used to live. This was the house they lived in. It is now known as a haunted mansion. It was kind of a creepy house.
We always like to make a stop at Point no Point. It is one of the only sandy beaches up there. It wasn't quite warm enough to get all the way in, but some of the kids braved the cold a little.
We stopped by my grandma and grandpa davis's grave. I didn't know my grandpa well, but I was really close with my grandma. I wish she could hang out with my kids. She would love it!
We all love every chance we get to hang out with my dad! I think he is teasing Bethany about something.
She got sung to for her birthday. She is the only one that has gotten to wear the sombaro, since we always visit in the summer, so her birthday is the closest.

My grandparents let us stay at their house while we were up visiting. They had offered in the past as well, my grandma always wanted us to stay with her. But I always felt like it would be too much for them, so have my kids there that much. One of the kids found this giant spider in my grandparents bathroom. I guess that's one of the downfalls of staying in a vacant house. Also, to go and try to shower in the morning and find that you don't have any hot water! The hot water heater had been turned off. We aren't complaining though!
This house will always hold a special place in my heart! I will miss visiting my grandma and grandpa's home and having them great us at the door, after parking up on the curb! We sure love them so much!!
{A side note I want to add, so I remember. Since my parent's got divorced when I went off to college, I never really had a "home" to come back to. I had my dad's house and my mom's house. But the idea of my home and home environment I grew up in, I haven't had that again. I think my grandparents house is the closest I have had to the feeling of "home". It was a place that I went to as a child, and throughout my life. It was always a consent part of my life and have really appreciated that. I will always remember baking with my grandma in the kitchen. Enjoying Sunday dinner of roast and potatoes, and my grandma being so proud to feed her family. Visiting with them in their living room, with grandma and grandpa in their recliners. Their funny bathroom, that had the light switch on the outside of the room. I think that is why it was hard for me to see it not be their house anymore. It makes me sad, but I am glad for the memories. I would of loved to buy it for a vacation or summer home, but that wasn't in the cards!}
