The kids halloween costumes this year! The girls have the wizard of oz theme going, and the boys are ninja turtles. I tried to convince the boys to be the scarecrow and tin man, but they wanted to be ninja turtles. I had fun making and altering the girls costumes. I enjoy being creative for a month out of the year! It is fun to see their reactions and excited as I finish up their costumes. It was easier for me that I didn't have to worry about the boys costumes too!
Our little Dorothy! She was excited to be dorothy and was the first to decided that that was what she wanted to be for Halloween, and started the wizard of oz theme for the girls.
She was excited to use her pink doggie for toto and she loved her new red shoes!
I wanted her costume to be like dorothy's dress, but different too.
Of course Hannah had to be the good witch, because she has a pink dress! I found this dress for her and then altered it to fit her better. I also added the pleats to help give it a fuller look. We added the puffy sleeves, and the wand and crown. She was set to go!
Bethany was excited to be the wicked witch of the west! I found her dress, lace shirt and black jacket. They all fit her pretty good. I just added the pleats in her dress, to give it some character and to shorten the dress. She loved how it turned out. We found her some black witch shoes and made her broom stick. The broom stick may be a new halloween decoration for me next year!
The wizard of oz girls!
Our ninja turtles to save the day! They were pretty cute too! All I had to do for their costumes was stuff their turtle shells, and got them their weapons. Rylan had a staff and Dallen numb chucks. They were happy boys!
We had our ward trunk or treat. Bethany and Hannah wanted curly hair and we painted Bethany's face green. We were in California for actual Halloween and decided it was too much work and a mess to paint her face again. So she just got her green face once!
