still a girl

We had our 3rd ultrasound today, and she is still a girl. We got some fun 3D pictures of her. It helps make it so much more real, which is good for me. Rylan told us during the ultrasound that she looked like a lizard, and Hannah said she looked like a bear. You do get some weird looking images sometimes.

She is very active and kept moving around the whole time. She loves having her hands up by her face. (that is what she is doing in the below picture, even though you can't see her face real good, her little hands are so cute!)

Hannah informed us today that the boys are going to be the minority in our family, and she's right!!

p280 week 2

Rylan has a new found love for strawberry shortcake. The girls picked it out to watch one time, and now that is what he picks out to watch during quite time.

Dallen loves his backpack. It was Rylan's and he had gotten it all packed up for our trip. Dallen found it and started carrying it around. I knew we were going to have trouble on the plane, since Dallen now thought it was his. So we got Rylan a new one and gave this one to Dallen. He will carry it around on his back all day long if I would let him!

Ry stole my sunglasses from me. I couldn't find them until I looked back and saw them on Ry's face. He thought he was pretty sneaky!

Bethany has been wanting some boots for awhile now. She was so happy when I finally got her some. She wore them from 7am till bed time the first day. I think she has worn them every day since too!

I got to take Hannah out on a date last weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went and bought stuff for her birthday party (I'm planning ahead), bought her some boots, and went to Chili's for dessert. She was so excited for the dessert and talked about it all day! It's always fun to get these kids by themselves and get to know them better. I am always surprised at how much Hannah has to say. I don't think she stopped talking the whole 3 hours we were out.

I love that girl!

Washington

We had a great time in Washington last week. We got to ride an airplane there and the kids thought that was the best thing! Ry was a little scared at first, since he doesn't remember being on an airplane before. Bethany thought it was fun like Screamin, (the roller coaster at California Adventures.) Overall the kids did good. We were glad that we made it on the plane, since we didn't have Dallen's birth certificate, and I had an expired license, that I didn't know about. I boarded the plane with the kids, while Ky got paperwork faxed over from our Dr. office to have proof of Dallen's birthday. Ky was the last one on the plane. It all worked out just in time!

The first day there we rode the ferry boat over to Seattle. That is always fun! We ate lunch at Ivers on the pier, and feed all the seagulls with our leftover fries and bread. There were sooo many of them! Then we headed over to the Seattle Science Center. It was a fun day!

The next day we made our trip to Poulsbo to get yummy maple bar gingerbread men from our favorite bakery. Then we went and toured the US Turner boat.

I love this picture of the kids with my Grandma and Grandpa. We were lucky to get to go visit with them!

The next day we visited with my other Grandma and Grandpa. It took awhile for us to find their graves, it always does. I also love this picture with the kids and their graves. I know that they all know each other and that my kids got a chance to get to know and be with my Grandma and Grandpa while they were in heaven. It will be a great day when we get to be with them again!!!

Once we got home and were looking at family history stuff, we found out that my Grandma was buried on the same day that we visited her grave 13 years earlier.

It stopped raining enough that we were able to make it to the beach. The kids always enjoy collecting shells.

The boys loved throwing rocks into the water. I just wish that Dallen didn't think he needed to be in the water to throw it in. His pants got soaked. Bethany was very determined to learn how to skip rocks. We'll have to keep practicing next time we go back.

We had a great time visiting with everyone and all the fun things we got to do! Hopefully it won't be two year before we make it back!!

project 280 plus 12

I decided to create my own project 365 (taking a picture a day), for the year. I knew I wanted to do something like it, but also knew that I would miss taking a picture every day, and didn't want to stress about it. So project 280 is my project. That adds up to taking pictures 5 days out of the week, which I can do!

I also liked the idea of having a family picture once a month, especially with our family growing this year.

Rylan is a sunbeam this year and got to enter primary. He was so excited and nervous but did a great job! He is growing up so much and it's so fun to watch him become his own person!

Bethany enjoying her in home date night with daddy. She finally got to play her favorite game, monopoly! We are trying to give our kids more one on one time with us, so they all get a date at home once a week. So far it has been a lot of fun for the kids and for us!

We had a awesome trip up to Washington this last week. It had been 2 years since we had been there, so it was time. It is always so fun for me to go "home". I forget how much I miss the trees, water and green. But I don't miss the lack of sun. That would take some getting used to again! Our first day there we rode the ferry boat over to Seattle. We love Seattle!

We ate at Iver's down on the water in Seattle. They have the best fish 'n chips. We got it again on our way home at the airport. It's my favorite and something I look forward to when visiting!!!

It rained almost every day we were there. Good old Washington! It was a fun change to all the sun we get here. The kids thought it was the best, and loved playing in the rain. They had to jump or walk through every puddle they could find. The joys of being a kid!!

a sunbeam, a month ago

Rylan got to start primary at the beginning of January. I'm just a little late posting about it. He was pretty excited about it all. Until right at the end of sacrament meeting that first Sunday he told me he wanted to go home. I asked him why, and he said because he was scared. It was pretty cute. But I walked him into his class and he sat down and did just great! He is the oldest sunbeam, so we had a talk about how he needs to be an example to the other kids. So far so good. Hopefully he will keep liking it.

He even went to a sunbeam class at my dad's ward this last week. I didn't think he would want to go. My dad was going to stay with him, but Ry told him that he didn't need him to. Brave little boy! (It was Bethany who was the most nervous about going to a different primary, which wasn't a surprise to me.)

With Ry going to primary I was a little worried about how Dallen would do in nursery without him. But he seems to be doing great and maybe even better without him in there. Interesting! I think it may be because all the big kids left, and now it's just the little ones in there. This all may change when our nursery leaders are released...that will be a sad day! Just don't sing I am a Child of God, or he will cry through the whole thing!! I sure wonder why.

We got to have our ultrasound this last week and see our little baby again.

We took all the kids and they liked it for the first few minutes, then it got boring they said. We got lots of fun looks and stares from other people...I guess we better get used to it!!

Girls always go first,

so yes we have a pretty good guess that it is a little girl.

I say guess because this is the shot we got.

No little boy parts, but we didn't necessarily see any girl parts either.

So hopefully it is a something and not a nothing!

We get to go back in a month and have another ultrasound done, so hopefully we will get a for sure answer then.

All of us have been thinking that it is a girl, so I have little doubt in my mind.

If they would of said I think it's a boy, it would be a different story.

So a girl it is unless we find out differently!

It all still seems a little surreal to me and often I find myself wondering how we got here!
But we are excited!
Now if we could figure out a name for this little one!!

Christmas fun

We had a great Christmas, as always! It is always nice to be have the extra time to spend together!

The kids have all been enjoying their presents. It has been a fun break with the girls out of school, and Ky having some time off of work.

Although I am ready to get back in routine... a couple more days!!
