p52 week 49

Hannah's spelling test for the week.  This is the same each week.  She get's a hundred percent on the normal test, and also a hundred percent on the super speller words which are optional   This was a week that she actually had to study a couple words, but she got them!!

The boys enjoying reading a Christmas book together.  They are such good buddies most of the time!
Bryleigh playing dress down, and then dress up.  She can be funny.
Bethany is lucky to have such a awesome sister!  They made their lunches for school and Hannah secretly put a note in Bethany's lunch.  I do this for them a couple times a week, but have some preprinted one that have a note and then a joke on the back.  So that is what she did.  A note on the left and a joke on the right. At lunch they make plans of whether they are going to meet up at lunch recess and play.  I love that they choose to play with each other at school!  I thought it was so sweet of her!!
Our sadly decorated Christmas tree.  As Bryleigh has pulled ornaments off the tree, they go higher and higher.  The bottom half is pretty bare!  But at least she leaves it alone now.  Everyone that comes over comments on the tree!
We went and saw the Layton lights with some friends.  It was a lot of fun, but super cold!  And nice to have some friends.  The simple things you really miss when you move!! We went back and saw the lights two more times.  It was a hit with our family.  It reminded us of the botanical garden's lights in Albuquerque.

gingerbread houses

We make gingerbread houses every year.  We used to do them on Thanksgiving day because we had no where to go.  But this year our day was a bit busier.  So it got pushed back a few weeks in between Ky's back to back work trips.  We always have so much fun!
We had one big house made out of gingerbread that they each get to decorate one side and we save it for Christmas. Then I made them all a small house out of graham crackers that they get to eat, along with a gingerbread boy or girl.
It's fun to watch them come up with their own creations and admire everyone else's.
Bryleigh mostly just ate some snacks.
And Dallen too.
Rylan was past the eat all the candy stage this year and really enjoyed decorating!
Hannah having fun and getting frosting all over her face!

It was a fun night and they enjoyed eating their creations the next day!

18 months

Our little baby is already a year and half!  It is so crazy how fast the time just flies by.  We especially love 18 months because it is the magical number that they get to go to nursery at church.  She has not been very fun the last few months trying to make it through 3 hours of church.  Kyle and I would take turns walking the halls.  So it is so exciting for them and us, when they get to go play with toys and have a snack.  She has done great in nursery so far!  She was a little weary of it the first day, but didn't cry when I left.  I was hoping this would be the case.  With all the other 4 kids they cried for a least a month when we dropped them off at nursery.  Bryleigh has always been a little more social with other people, so I was happy that she goes to nursery and has fun!

She loves to cross her ankles.  She sits like this all the time!  She must get this from me.  I too like to cross my feet and do it even when I'm sleeping. Kind of weird.
Bryleigh loves to play peek a boo.  She has a new love for baby dolls and likes to carry them around and take care of them. She likes to play with her older brothers and sisters. Wants mommy to hold her all the time or none of the time, just depending on her mood.  Lately it's been the all the time and it makes it hard to get things done.  But I like that she still likes me and needs me! Loves to open presents, and got lots of practice with Christmas.  She loves getting dressed and undressed and taking baths. Her favorite foods are bananas, oranges, cheese its, and her milk. Usually prefers mommy over daddy, but once in awhile will choose the other. Likes to have her hair done and is doing better about leaving it in. She is talking more and more.  Some new words are, ball, pop, ho ho ho, Da, socks, cheese, banana, milk.  And she still likes to get into trouble.

At her 18 month dr. appt she weighed in at 18 pounds 15 ounces.  Which puts her in the negative percentile.  Which is fine, because she has always been there.  But she hasn't gained any weight, and is now falling off of her curve.  So our dr. wanted us to watch her and make sure she is getting enough calories. Around this same time she was going poop around 3 to 5 times a day, it was ridiculous.  She was getting a bunch of molars in so I had thought it was because of teething.  But it had been a good month and it wasn't getting better.  This was also the time frame that I weaned her and was drinking soy milk.  So I wondered if this could be causing the problem.  So I switched her onto almond milk, which we all prefer in our house anyways, and the pooping stopped!  It was amazing.  So Bryleigh is allergic to soy milk, which is common in little kids.  Bryleigh went in a couple weeks later because she had croup, and her weight was up to about 19 pounds.  So yay, that was a easy problem to fix and I like to fix things!!
My cute little girl who keeps us on our toes!

Bryleigh's half

We celebrated Bryleigh's half birthday.  She's the big 18 months!  She had fun opening her present, and all the kids enjoyed playing with it!
Her yummy cake.  She liked sticking her fingers in it and licking off the frosting.

Hannah just had to give her a kiss.
And Bryleigh wiping it off!
Blowing out her candles.  She almost has the hang of it.
Playing with her minnie mouse with daddy.
Happy Half birthday Bry!

p52 week 48

November 25th to 1st
We have a good morning routine going with these two.  I do my exercise video, then they get to watch a movie and have a snack while I shower.  Bryleigh only stays laying down for a few minutes, but Dallen has a new love for movies.  He doesn't like net flix or tv shows so much, but he loves to pick out his dvd and then lay down and watch it.  I love it when they get to this point where they can stay still for a few minutes!
One of Bryleigh's favorite things to do is unload our pantry.  If the door gets left open, she first takes out the step stool.  Then she starts taking everything else out and sets them all up.  It drives me nuts and makes me laugh at the same time!
The kids were bored, and were so excited when I suggested getting their art stuff out.  Don't they know they can do this whenever they want!!  They are better at entertaining themselves then they know!

Some random pictures from the last month, that I just downloaded from my phone. Which is why they are poor quality.  I wish my phone took better pictures.
This is what church is like for us.  We usually make it through most of sacrament meeting, but the last two hours of church Kyle and I take turns walking the halls with her.  She loves it, us not so much.
During family home evening. Bethany and Hannah are doing the lesson, and the little kids are actually sitting down listening.  It's a miracle!!  Maybe it's because we have a flower and peter pan.  Maybe we need to dress up every week for FHE, that's the secret!!
Dallen trying out Hannah's new snow boots.  Aren't they cute though!!

Hannah's last dr. appointment with the orthopedic dr.  Rylan kept saying how gross this room was, and were we almost done because this is so gross.  He was referring to the picture chart on the wall and the knee joint model on the table.  It grossed him out so much that he sat on the floor most of the time so he couldn't see it. I tried to explain to him that it really wasn't gross, there could be much worst pictures. I guess he isn't going to be a dr. when he grows up!!

temple square lights

We went to the new city creek mall to check it out, and then went over to temple square to see the lights.  We had fun exploring the mall, but there were way too many people there!
ZCMI window displays.  They are always fun to see.  They are made from candy.

My favorite temple!!  It's so pretty!!  I
My cute family!
My cute kids with my cute mom!!
We were excited when they had the gate open, so you could go up close to the temple.

It's fun to see the nativity.

Another family shot. The little ones were distracted by something.
Me and my sweetheart! He is too tall, the lights are touching his head!
We walked back over to the mall since that was where we parked.  We stopped and watched the fun fountain that was going with the beat of the Christmas music it was playing.  It was pretty neat to watch!
