My friend Michelle took these wonderful pictures of our family at the beginning of June. I love how they turned out. I am so lucky to have this beautiful family, they seriously are the best!!

p260 week 21

I am so behind on this blog. It is very hard to type while holding a baby, and really I would rather hold my sweet little baby than blog. There's my excuse!!

May 30, the big due date came and went and I was still hugely pregnant. By that point I figured I was going to go over and my induction was scheduled for Wed, so it wasn't too bad. I did a lot of walking and some jogging that last week, and on my due date trying to get her here, but after that day I gave up and decided that I was going to wait for the pitocin a few days later.

Sure enough the pitocin worked faster than the dr. anticipated. Bryleigh finally made it here and I was a happy camper. It was such a relief to finally hold this little one and know that the last 9 months were horrible for a very good reason!! Good thing they are so worth it!!

Got a little glimpse of a baby smile. Can't wait for a "real" smile!!!

We ended the week coming home from the hospital and my mom who was so wonderful to come help out with the kids went home. What a whirlwind of a week!!

more Bryleigh

I finally got around to editing some pictures of our sweet little girl. We are sure enjoying her!!

A few from the hospital. She was not happy about being forced out of her home in the womb. After her bath laying under the warmer she found her thumb. And one happy momma having the baby out instead of in!!! I love holding and cuddling with her all day long!!

The kids meeting their new little sister for the first time. Dallen did not know what to think, but did really good with her. He likes to rub her hair. Rylan loves her so much and tells her that, "I love you Bryleigh", about 20 times a day followed by kisses. Bethany and Hannah love her too and enjoy holding her. I love the smile on Bethany's face in the picture since she wasn't very excited about having another baby. She is over that and she thinks Bryleigh is beautiful and is glad she is here. But she does not want us to have any more babies.

It's so interesting how once these little ones get here you can't imagine your life without them. I am so grateful for Bryleigh and the joy she has already brought to our family. It was a long 9 months, but as always worth it in the end!!!

Bryleigh Jane

Bryleigh made her arrival on June 1st 2011. She was born at 6:41 pm. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She has lots of dark hair and loves to have her hands up around her face and occasionally will suck on her fingers.

The labor wasn't all too exciting. I went to the hospital that morning to get induced. Being 2 days late was enough for me. 8 1/2 hours of labor and 3 pushes later she was here! She cried for the first hour after she was born. We think she was cold, and she couldn't figure out how to get her fingers in her mouth. For the first couple days she would prefer to eat on only one side which caused some frustration, but she got over that and is eating just fine on both sides now. She gets up 2 to 3 times a night to eat. She will sleep in her own bed, but I still like to cuddle with her for part of the night.

All of the kids just love her, and love to hold her and give her kisses. So far she has been a good little baby. I've been busy sitting around doing nothing but holding my sweet baby! I'm so glad that she is here and that we all get to enjoy her!!
